A book made up of pages is described. At least some of the pages contain both space for manually-created visual content, and instances of preprinted indexing target symbols. Each of the indexing target symbol instances has at least a portion within one inch of three unbound page edges. When the book is closed, the instances of each particular indexing target symbol are in a substantially collinear stack that is substantially perpendicular to the faces of the pages.

The invention set forth herein is a bookmark card configured into several sections by creases and two openings. Once the lower sections are folded and the openings are aligned, the latter are connected by inserting the article to be presented, thus forming its dual-use upright configuration for display of small gifts and/or promotional items and its collapsed or unfolded configuration as a bookmark. The end consumer obtains two articles in one: a presentation support and a bookmark card, without having to use glue to assemble it in the upright configuration and avoiding the production of unnecessary waste after presentation of small articles.

A book includes a front cover and a plurality of pages below the front cover. A plurality of first elements are provided, one element mounted to each of the pages at a unique position on the respective page through the front cover. A page turning device is mounted on the front cover, having a second element that is movable over the front cover by a user to be selectively positioned over a respective unique position, the first elements and the second element being magnetically attracted to each other.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a bookmark assembly that indicates relative page direction and a line left off for a reader. A bending system for separating a page from a cover of a value document, wherein the page is connected to a spine of the cover, the spine separating the cover in first and second cover portions, wherein an angle γ is formed between the first and second cover portions. The bending system includes a bending unit connected to a motor, wherein the motor is configured to operate the bending unit such that the bending unit bends the value document to a first state, where γ is larger than 180°, and then back to a second state, where γ is at least 180° but less than γ in the first state, to separate the page from the cover. Also disclosed is an engraving system for engraving a front side and backside of a page of the value document and a document manufacturing device including the bending system and engraving system.
