Track elements for forming a continuous over tyre track with strength enhancement structure
The invention discloses a track element (80) for forming a continuous over tyre track (100), includes a generally C-shaped rigid member (10) having a base portion (10a) extending transversely to the track (100), a tapered side guide member (10b) on each end of the base portion (10a), and at least one inter-engaging connector member (10c) on each side of the base portion (10a); wherein the rigid member (10) is encased in a coating of elastomeric material (20).
Tire Traction Enhancing Apparatus
The present invention relates to a novel and easy to use tire traction-enhancing tool that is used for increasing traction of a tire stuck in snow, ice, mud and/or other environmental hazards that prohibit or obstruct movement of a vehicle. The tool features a plurality of steel or aluminum chains welded together in a mat or rectilinear configuration that is configured to be securely deployed underneath a stuck vehicle tire. The chains are formed of pre-bent welded links and the chains are connected to each other through connecting links. The tool is lightweight, portable, easy to deploy and remove and can be stored in the trunk of the vehicle. The tool is not required to be mounted to the tire and thus increases the life of the tire and the effectiveness of traction provided to the tire.
Chain installation system for semi-trucks and trailers
A snow chain system that attaches to the frame of a semi-truck and/or trailer, or a large commercial construction vehicle. The system includes a removable chain box, a chain barrel, a chain spreader, flashlight driver notification, a drag brake, a box swivel, and tire clamp. The snow chain is rolled out of the chain box directly onto a tire tightly with minimal human involvement. It provides for installed a tight snow chain onto the tire when rollout of the snow chain to the tire is completed. After snow chain use, it rolls up manually back into the chain box and is ready for immediate service should another need arise. All necessary equipment is organized, helping the driver with safety concerns.
TIRE CHAIN INSTALLATION TOOL
The tool includes an elongate rigid bar with fixed chain leaders extending from the bar near ends of the bar. A removable chain leader is provided between these two fixed chain leaders. In one form of the invention, the bar is hollow and a pin translates within this hollow core. A slot in the bar allows a proximal link of the removable chain leader to pass into the hollow core of the bar where the pin can removably capture this proximal link. Because the removable chain leader is provided on the bar, it can initially be captured to the bar for use along with the fixed chain leaders to position a tire chain onto a dual wheel pair. Then, the removable leader can be removed from the bar and act as a handle on a middle elongate section of the tire chain to assist in connection thereof.
AUTOMATED TIRE CHAIN TENSIONER
This invention relates generally to a system, device, and method for automated management of tension in tire chains and related traction improvement systems.
Disposable tire gripping system
A plurality of disposable single fabricated piece tire grips with friction contact surfaces and cable ties ratchet mounted on wheel contact surfaces of tires mounted on wheels with openings allowing the grips to secure there through for easy application and fits all tires regardless of size.
Protective Enclosure And Method of Using
A trailer for use with a truck having at least one drive wheel is disclosed. The trailer includes a floor configured to carry cargo and a protective enclosure moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The protective enclosure has a frame and a top panel, a first side panel, a second side panel, and an end panel that are attachable to the frame. In the stowed position, the protective enclosure is positioned adjacent the floor. In the deployed position, the protective enclosure projects away from the floor and the top panel, the first side panel, the second side panel, and the end panel cooperate to form an interior space shielded from inclement weather. A method of servicing at least one drive wheel of a truck coupled to a trailer is also disclosed.
Commercial chain block system
A commercial chain block system is disclosed herein including a block assembly including an elongated platform supported by a first-support-leg, and a second-support-leg extending lengthwise along opposing sides of the platform. The first-support-leg and the second-support-leg have a ramp at one end forming a 45 degree angle. The platform, the first-support-leg, and the second-support-leg are configured to support a tire of a vehicle upon a top-surface of the platform and assist in installing chains on tires of commercial vehicles.
Dual tire chain block
A dual tire chain block for adding and removing chains to dual tire trucks includes a block base having a front side sloping from a bottom side to a top side to form a front ramp. A pair of chain mounts is coupled to the inner side and the outer side proximal the front side. A capture chain is coupled to the pair of chain mounts. The capture chain extends between the pair of chain mounts to form a U-shape adjacent the front side of the block base. The capture chain is configured to be driven on by a truck to prevent the block base from slipping away as the truck tires climb the front ramp to rest an inner tire on the top side to elevate an outer tire to receive or remove a snow chain.
Track Elements for Forming a Continuous Over Tyre Track with Strength Enhancement Structure
The invention discloses a track element (80) for forming a continuous over tyre track (100), comprising a generally C-shaped rigid member (10) having a base portion (10a) extending transversely to the track (100), a tapered side guide member (10b) on each end of the base portion (10a), and at least one inter-engaging connector member (10c) on each side of the base portion (10a); wherein the rigid member (10) is encased in a coating of elastomeric material (20).
