DYNAMIC TIRE PRESSURE REGULATION SYSTEM
20230044053 · 2023-02-09 ·

A system and method/apparatus are provided which dynamically and optionally automatically and individually adjust air pressure in the tire or tires of a vehicle. In one purely mechanical embodiment, the system is adapted for use with at least one tire mounted on a rim. The tire has an internal volume inflated with air. The rim is made up of two nested portions adapted such that relative rotation of the nested portions from a neutral position in which tire pressure is at a highest level causes a device in the system to increase the volume inside the tire so as to reduce the tire pressure, thereby increasing grip. The invention adjusts tire pressure quickly and dynamically, depending on braking or acceleration forces acting on the vehicle, and optionally, based on the terrain and the particular road or track conditions to which the vehicle is subjected.

Pneumatic Tire

Provided is a pneumatic tire with a tread portion, a sidewall portion, a bead portion, and a sound absorbing member bonded to the tire inner surface. A sheet-like heat transfer member is provided between the tire inner surface and the sound absorbing member to extend outward from the region where the sound absorbing member is bonded, which forms a heat dissipation part projecting from the sound absorbing member in the heat transfer member.

Degradable foam-containing tires, related methods and kits for adding degradable foam to tires

Disclosed herein are kits for use in adding degradable foam to a tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, tires containing degradable foam, and methods for degrading the degradable foam in tires containing degradable foam. The degradable foam comprises a combination of (i) at least one di- or polyisocyanate, (ii) at least one polysiloxane diol, at least one polysiloxane diamine, or a combination thereof, and (iii) optionally at least one polyol.

UNIVERSAL TEMPORARY WHEEL

A universal temporary wheel is provided that has a universal aperture pattern that is adapted to mate with different configurations of lug bolt patterns to enable the wheel to be used with various wheel hub configurations having various lug bolt patterns. The universal temporary wheel can be installed while a damaged wheel is being repaired to allow an automobile or other vehicle to be moved. Because the universal temporary wheel has a universal aperture pattern, the wheel can be used with a variety of wheel hub configurations and lug bolt patterns, thereby eliminating the need to stock a variety of temporary wheels having various aperture patterns.

Modular mobility base for a modular autonomous logistics vehicle transport apparatus

A modular mobility base for a modular autonomous bot apparatus transporting an item being shipped including a mobile base platform, a component alignment interface, a mobility controller, a propulsion and steering system, and sensors. The component alignment interface provides an alignment channel into which another modular component can be placed and secured on the platform. The mobility controller generates propulsion control signals for controlling speed of the modular mobility base and steering control signals for navigation of the modular mobility base. The propulsion system is connected to the platform and responsive to the propulsion control signal. The steering system is connected to the mobile base platform and is responsive to the steering control signal to cause changes to directional movement of the modular mobility base. The sensors are disposed on the platform provide feedback sensor data to the mobility controller about a condition of the modular mobility base.

Pneumatic tire and method of manufacturing the same

A pneumatic tire that is vulcanized using a bladder provided with a coating layer comprising a release agent, the noise absorber being fixed to the inner surface of the tread portion along the tire circumferential direction via the adhesive layer, and the amount of silicon in the release agent detected by X-ray fluorescence analysis is 0.1 wt. % to 10.0 wt. % at least in the fixation region for the noise absorber.

Method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire with an improved tread

The method comprises the steps of a) forming a carcass composed of a cured rubber material and b) overmolding, on the carcass, at least one thermoplastic elastomer material in order to finish the pneumatic tire.

Vehicle wheel and Helmholtz resonator

A vehicle wheel has a Helmholtz resonator (sub-air chamber member) mounted thereon with an adhesive material, and a thickness of the adhesive material on a part (adhesive strength increasing part) of the Helmholtz resonator on which centrifugal force acts strongly during rotation of the wheel is set to be thicker than a thickness of the adhesive material on other parts (regular part) of the Helmholtz resonator. When the thickness of the adhesive material is increased, peel strength of the adhesive material is enhanced accordingly.

Tire

Provided is a tire provided with a mark capable of reducing the air resistance during tire rotation while maintaining good visibility. A tire is provided with a mark on a tire side portion. The mark includes a first mark located on an outer side in a tire radial direction, and a second mark located inward of the first mark in the tire radial direction. Each of the first mark and the second mark includes a recess that is recessed from a side profile surface of the tire side portion. A depth of the recess of the first mark from the side profile surface is smaller than a depth of the recess of the second mark from the side profile surface.
