A vehicle includes a perfume diffuser including a pair of electrodes, at least one fragrance cartridge including a resistance plate electrically connected to the pair of electrodes, and a controller identifying the types of the fragrance cartridge based on the size of current flowing through the pair of electrodes and the resistance plate.

COMPONENT FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR

A cartridge for a vehicle interior component configured to dispense scent from scent media may comprise a body comprising an inlet port and an outlet port and a chamber to contain scent media; and a valve assembly comprising an inlet valve, an outlet valve and a valve mechanism. The valve assembly may facilitate air flow across scent media in the chamber and may provide a seal to obstruct air flow in the chamber. The valve mechanism may comprise an inlet spring to actuate the inlet valve and an outlet spring to actuate the outlet valve. The inlet spring and the outlet spring may be configured to be compressed in alignment with a connector to facilitate air flow. The component may comprise a console, overhead console, floor console, center console, etc.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SANITIZING AIR CONDITIONED BY A CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM

An air sanitizer unit that includes a housing, a substrate, and a light source. The substrate is provided in an interior space of the housing and includes at least one photocatalytic coating on at least one surface that extends along a flow path of airflow through the air sanitizer unit. The light source is disposed within the interior space of the housing in a way such that light produced by the light source activates the at least one photocatalytic coating to purify the airflow. Further, the substrate includes channels for allowing airflow there through, in which a substrate structure defining the channels include the photocatalytic coating and the substrate structure defining the channels is configured such that microbes in the airflow are captured on the least one photocatalytic coating at low airflow rates, in which the low airflow rates are airflow rates less than 20 air changes per hour.

ECO-FRIENDLY VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING VALET MODE THEREFOR

Disclosed are methods, apparatuses, and systems for controlling a valet mode of a vehicle. The method may include determining whether or not one or more vehicle takeover mode entry conditions are satisfied while a vehicle is in the valet mode, requesting one of a plurality of takeover controls for a vehicle takeover mode based on a determination that the one or more vehicle takeover mode entry conditions are satisfied and further based on a status of the vehicle, and performing the requested takeover control on the vehicle by adjusting a limitation that is applied, in the valet mode, to the vehicle.

VEHICLE OXYGEN GENERATING SYSTEM

A vehicle oxygen generating system includes a heat source, a power source, a vehicle air handling assembly of a vehicle air conditioning system, an H.sub.2O source and an electrochemical oxygen producing device. The oxygen producing device is connected to the H.sub.2O source receiving H.sub.2O therefrom. The oxygen producing device uses heat from the heat source and electricity from the power source to produce H.sub.2 and O.sub.2 from H.sub.2O. The O.sub.2 produced by the oxygen producing device is directed to the vehicle air handling assembly and moved into a passenger compartment of a vehicle.

Air Sterilization Assembly

An air sterilization assembly for passenger compartment air sterilization includes a substrate and a set of bulbs. The substrate is mountable within an air conduit of a passenger compartment ventilation system of a vehicle so that the substrate is mounted to the air conduit without substantially reducing airflow through the air conduit. The set of bulbs is engaged to the substrate and is operationally engageable to an electrical circuit of the vehicle. The bulbs emit ultraviolet C radiation, which neutralizes pathogens in air passing through the air conduit.

Active control over vehicle access by an ozone-based vehicle deodorization system

Methods and systems may provide for technology to initiate an injection of ozone for a predetermined cycle time into a cabin of a vehicle via a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) subsystem of the vehicle only when the vehicle is in a locked state and a window-closed state, the vehicle cabin is vacant, and the vehicle is in park. The technology may also cease the injection of the ozone into the cabin in response to an override request detected before expiration of the predetermined cycle time and maintains the vehicle in the locked state for a predetermined wait time after the injection of the ozone into the cabin is ceased.

Intelligent in-vehicle air-quality control

A mechanism is provided for controlling the internal air-quality of a vehicle, including configuring a control policy that controls an internal air-quality of a vehicle and performing an action dictated by the control policy according to a window status of the vehicle.
