System and method for wireless power transfer in a linear cart system
A system for wirelessly transmitting power between a track and independent movers in a motion control system includes a pick-up coil provided proximate to the magnets on the movers. The fundamental component of the voltage applied to the drive coils interacts primarily with the magnetic field generated by the permanent magnets on the movers and not with the pick-up coil. Consequently, the pick-up coil does not interfere with desired operation of the movers but rather, interacts primarily with the harmonic components and has current and voltages induced within the pick-up coil as a result of the harmonic components. The energy captured by the pick-up coil reduces the amplitude of eddy currents on the mover. After harvesting the harmonic content, the pick-up coil may be connected to another circuit on the mover and serve as a supply voltage for the other circuit.
ARTICLE TRANSFERRING APPARATUS
Disclosed is an article transferring apparatus, including: a travel rail provided along a ceiling of a manufacturing line in which processing devices are continuously disposed; and a transferring unit device traveling on the travel rail and sending and receiving an article to and from a mounting place of the processing device, in which the transferring unit includes: a vehicle traveling along the travel rail; a vehicle main body connected to the vehicle and providing loading parts on which articles are loaded; a hoist module installed in the vehicle main body and capable of exchanging the article with the mounting place and each of the loading parts; and a horizontal moving member for horizontally moving the hoist module in the vehicle main body so that the hoist module is located on any one of the loading parts, and the loading parts have a straight arrangement in which articles are loaded in a line along a traveling direction of the vehicle or a rhombic arrangement in which articles are loaded in all directions around a central opening through which articles enter and exist.
ARTICLE TRANSFERRING APPARATUS, METHOD OF MEASURING STEP DIFFERENCE OF TRAVEL RAIL, AND TRANSFERRING SYSTEM
Disclosed is an article transferring apparatus, including: a vehicle traveling along a travel rail installed on a ceiling; a hoist module connected to the vehicle and transferring an article; a step difference measurement unit which is installed in the vehicle, and measures a step difference of the travel rail by measuring distances values to a traveling surface of the travel rail by a first displacement sensor and a second displacement sensor arranged at a predetermined interval along a travel direction; and a controller for determining whether there is a step difference of the travel rail by correcting an error between a first measurement value of the first displacement sensor and a second measurement value of the second displacement sensor according to an inclination of the vehicle.
HASH OVERHEAD HOIST TRANSPORT RAIL SYSTEM AND METHODS OF OPERATING THE SAME
An automated material handling system (AMHS) and a method of operating the AMHS are disclosed. In one aspect, the AMHS includes a network of rails and a vehicle configured to hold a sample carrier that stores one or more samples, wherein the vehicle is configured to move within the FAB via the network of rails. The AMHS also includes a turn table connected to the network of rails and configured to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to a surface of the turn table. The AMHS further includes a hash rail connected to and overlapping the turn table. The hash rail is configured to rotate about the axis with the turn table.

OVERHEAD RAIL AND TROLLEY SYSTEM
The present invention discloses an overhead rail and trolley apparatus and method. The apparatus provides an overhead rail having one or more tracks. A wheeled trolley having a wheel or wheels travels upon the tracks. A stop unit on the rail is positioned to selectively halt the trolley. There is a cutout section on the rail and an insert that is attached to the rail at the cutout. The trolley wheels engage the upper surface of the insert when the trolley is halted by the stop unit. A plating on the insert increases the hardness of the insert upper surface. The insert helps prevent and/or at least lessens wear of apparatus when the trolley is halted by the stop unit.

METHOD FOR OPERATING CONVEYING SYSTEM
A method for operating a conveying system is provided. An overhead hoist transport (OHT) vehicle is provided, wherein the OHT vehicle includes a gripping member configured to grip and hold a carrier, and a receiver configured to receive a signal. The signal is transmitted to the receiver of the OHT vehicle. The OHT vehicle is moved toward the carrier, and the carrier is gripped by the gripping member of the OHT vehicle. A lifting force is determined based on a weight of a carrier, a number of workpieces in the carrier, or a vertical distance between the OHT vehicle and the carrier, and the lifting force is applied to the carrier.
