SUPPORT FRAMES AND RAIL CARS FOR CONVEYING BULK MATERIALS ON A RAIL TRANSPORT SYSTEM
The present invention generally relates to support frames and rail cars comprising first and second side drive plates, first and second cross members connecting the respective ends of the side drive plates, third and fourth cross members connecting the side drive plates at a select distance from the first and second cross members, a coupling assembly situated at the first cross member and adapted to connect another rail car thereto, and first and second diagonal support members connected to the first cross member at an angle sufficient to substantially direct forces from the coupling assembly to the third cross member and side drive plates. The support frames and rail cars may be used for conveying bulk materials on a rail transport system.

TRACTION COUPLING
A traction coupling including a coupling rod, a bearing block, and a coupling head supported by the coupling rod. The coupling rod extends in an axial direction from an attachment end to the coupling head, in a region of the attachment end, the coupling head is mounted in a pivotable manner on the bearing block in order to be attached to a rail vehicle. The traction coupling also including at least one lubricating device having at least one lubricant source and at least one lubricant line connected to the lubricant source for lubrication of joints and/or movement points in the traction coupling. The joints and/or movement points of various components of the following group of components of the traction coupling are lubricated with the lubricating device the coupling rod, the coupling head, and the bearing block.

DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A DISTANCE BETWEEN RAIL CARS DURING COUPLING
A system may include a sensor that detects positioning data indicative of a position of a first coupler of a first vehicle system and positioning data indicative of a position of a second coupler of a second vehicle system during a coupling event of the vehicle systems. A controller includes one or more processors that receive the positioning data of the first and second couplers and determines whether the first coupler is misaligned with the second coupler. The controller may initiate an action of the first coupler, the second coupler, the first vehicle system, or the second vehicle system to change a position of the first coupler, the second coupler, the first vehicle system, or the second vehicle system. Changing the position of the first coupler, the second coupler, the first vehicle system, or the second vehicle system aligns the first coupler with the second coupler.

Train coupler structural health monitoring system
The present invention discloses a train coupler structural health monitoring system. The system includes one or more sensors mounted to or integrated with the train coupler, a data acquisition unit for receiving signal or data from the sensors, and a processing unit for determining the train coupler's structural health based on the received signal or data. Inspections via the system can be performed in real time continuously or periodically while a train is in service. It can also be performed offline while a train is not in service. Inspection method can be either passive, where sensors collect signals without generating excitation signals to the structure, or active, where some sensors are used as actuators to actively send excitation signals to the structure and other sensors or the actuators themselves collect the structural response signals. The data acquisition unit receives signals or data from sensors. The processing unit processes sensor data acquired by the data acquisition unit and determines if there are structural changes or damages.
