Separable transport carts for sectional drain cleaner

Wheeled transport carts are described which are configured for transporting drain cleaning equipment such as drain cleaning machines and drain cleaning cable. The carts include engagement provisions that enable a drain cleaning machine to be affixed to the cart and preclude unintended separation from the cart during use or transport. The engagement provisions also enable the drain cleaning machine to be quickly and easily separated from the cart. Also described are methods of transporting such equipment using the carts. In addition, systems of the cart(s) with various equipment are described.

Convertible, all-terrain gear cart

A convertible, all-terrain gear cart convertible between modes of manual propulsion, trailering, and support by a motor vehicle. A control arm with a trailer hitch connector permits trailering or manual propulsion and is pivotally coupled to a first end of a cargo bin, and a vehicle engaging member to permit support and transport by a motor vehicle projects from the second end of the cargo bin. Detachable, all-terrain wheels with lateral axes of rotation are retained at a mid-portion of the cargo bin. Cargo retention and roll bars are removably coupled to the cargo bin, and a retractable support leg can cooperate with the wheels to stabilize the gear cart. The vehicle engaging member can comprise a receiver with a mitered end forming a shelf that can be rested on a rigid tongue of a trailer hitch adapter to permit levering of the gear cart relative to a vehicle.

Trolley for transporting loads

A trolley as disclosed for manual transport of loads. The trolley comprises one or more wheels, an axle, a pair of handles which extend upwardly when the trolley is in an upright, non-travel position, a load carrying frame extending forward from the handles, and a pair of spaced support legs extending down from the load carrying frame and positioned either side of the one or more wheels. The support legs are adapted to support the load carrying frame substantially parallel to a support surface, such as the ground, when the trolley is in the upright, non-travel position.

Push-to-pull convertible carriage

A pull-behind carriage has an auxiliary wheel mounted on a reconfigurable drawbar. When the pull-behind carriage is converted to a push carriage, the drawbar is folded so that the auxiliary wheel is positioned on the ground to act as an extra, supporting wheel. Joints in the drawbar are palm operated and can be rotated without continuing to hold the joint. The drawbar may also serve to move the axle of the main wheels backwards when the carriage is converted from the pull-behind mode to the push mode.

Removable hand cart deck

A removable deck for a convertible hand truck need not be removed when the hand truck is converted between upright and recumbent positions. The deck includes a pair of guide slots separating a pair of lateral flanges from a central handle. The slots and central handle are configured to receive the handle of a hand truck when the truck is converted to a four-wheeled cart. The deck perimeter includes an upstanding lip positioned inboard of the slots, flanges and central handle portion. Sets of retaining strap guides secure the panel to the hand truck and tie-down apertures are provided for securing cargo to the deck. The guide slots and center handle cooperate to retain the hand truck handle in place when the hand truck is in its four-wheeled position without use of additional fasteners to prevent disengagement.
