Fin mounting assembly

A fin mounting assembly having a fin box and a cover plate. The fin mounting assembly has a fin box with an upper end that is substantially closed and a lower end that is open with an outer edge. An elongated recess is disposed substantially central along a first axis of the fin box that is adapted to receive and secure a base of a fin. The upper end of the fin box has a flange with an outer border. The flange has a gradually increasing wall height curvature along the first axis, beginning adjacent to the outer edge of the flange and a greatest wall height curvature at a flange central portion. The flange also has a slot cover wall that extends up and away from the flange along the first axis and positioned over the elongated recess. The slot cover wall has an increasing width thickness beginning at the outer edge of the flange that increases in width and has a largest width at a slot cover central portion. A cover plate has an outer border and is adapted to be attached to the outer edge of the fin box.

The oxygen tank flotation device is a floating structure adapted for use in recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device is adapted for use with respiratory equipment that is required for use during recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device receives and stores respiratory equipment, such as an oxygen tank, in such a manner that the respiratory equipment will float when the oxygen tank flotation device is placed in a body of water. This arrangement allows the respiratory equipment to float near the user when the user is involved in recreational water activities. The oxygen tank flotation device comprises a vessel, a first float, and a second float.

Multiple chine pontoon boat

A pontoon boat is provided that includes a deck and a plurality of pontoons running longitudinally beneath the deck and providing buoyancy to the pontoon boat. The plurality of pontoons include a multi-chine configuration that increases the stability of the pontoon boat and provides handling characteristics similar to that of a hulled boat. The plurality of pontoons may include two outer pontoons and a third pontoon positioned laterally intermediate the outer pontoons. The third pontoon may include a plurality of chines, and each of the outer pontoons may include at least one chine. At least a portion of each of the at least one chines of the outer pontoons may be positioned vertically below the plurality of chines of the third pontoon. The chines on the third pontoon may extend longitudinally further than each of the at least one chines of the outer pontoons.

The invention provides an apparatus that attaches to a hull of a boat to disrupt water flow around the hull such that a wake created behind the boat is larger, differently positioned, and/or differently shaped. The apparatus includes a base and a blade. The blade is equipped with a mount structure that attaches the base to the blade. The blade can be reversibly mountable to the base such that either face of the blade faces a desired direction. The apparatus provides tool-free adjustment between a first configuration in which the base is mounted to the blade and a second configuration in which the base and the blade are separated. In some embodiments, the apparatus is removably attached to the hull by one or more suction cups. Additionally, the apparatus can be inflatable. The invention further provides a deployable lanyard assembly and a splash deflector for use with the apparatus.

Self-propelled waterborne wave riding system
11235219 · 2022-02-01 ·

A self-propelled waterborne wave riding system includes a vessel having at least one motor and control system for navigating and propelling the vessel along a body of water. A rider section is located along the top of the vessel and includes a lower platform at the front of the vessel, an upper platform at the back of the vessel, and an elongated angled ride surface that extends between the upper and lower platforms. A pump system is provided along the vessel and includes an impeller assembly that is mechanically coupled to an inboard motor and a water pipe. Water received by the impeller is directed through the water pipe to a horizontally oriented nozzle in the lower platform which pushes the water over the ride surface. Openings in the upper platform return the used water into the body of water.

System for the deployment of marine payloads

The present invention involves a system for the release of low relief, self-orienting deployable payloads from a platform such as a submersible vehicle and a mechanism of passive buoyancy compensation of the vehicle. The system secures one or more payloads by a vacuum force without an additional mechanical restraining mechanism and deployment of a payload is accomplished by disengaging the vacuum hold to release the payload for its intended function. Once deployed, the payload may reorient itself to a functional orientation without additional assistance.

Hull for low drag boats
