A touch screen may be utilized by a marine electronic device to easily enter a route in relation to a chart. The marine electronic device may automatically determine and join geographic points associated with the chart to generate a route based on a touch pattern. The marine electronic device may be configured to complete the route to form a route loop in instances in which the start and end of the touch pattern are within a predetermined distance. The completion of the route may be accomplished by connecting the end point to the start point or by “snapping” the end point to the start point, e.g. shifting the end point to the start point. Additionally or alternatively, a user may use pre-determined route snippets to quickly and easily alter a route.

A LiDAR included in this automatic docking device measures the distance to a surrounding object at each predetermined angle by irradiating the object with light and receiving the light reflected by the object. When a ship offshore is instructed to perform automatic docking, the ship navigates to some extent by automatic navigation based on satellite positioning, and is then switched to automatic navigation based on the LiDAR. Before switching to the automatic navigation based on the LiDAR, the LiDAR performs preparatory measurement for measuring the distance to an object around a docking position. In this preparatory measurement, a control unit controls to change, for example, the orientation of the ship such that light emitted from the LiDAR can be reflected by the object around the docking position and can be received by the LiDAR.

The cloud server provides watercraft information of the owner to the user terminal when the first share-ride condition information and the second share-ride condition information match. The cloud server acquires share-ride request information corresponding to the watercraft information when the watercraft information is selected by the user terminal.
