Thruster assembly in a marine vessel
An assembly in a marine vessel includes a unit arranged in a water tight chamber opening in a hull of a vessel, wherein the unit is adapted to extend into the water below the vessel when at a mounted position. A connection path between an inside and an outside of the vessel is provided with a sealing system and the sealing system divides the connection path into an outside connection path portion and an inside connection path portion. The assembly includes a gas inlet system opening to the outside connection path portion.
Adjustable Debris Collection Apparatus For Maritime Vessels And Associated Methods
A debris collection apparatus for a maritime vessel includes a shroud and a plurality of support structures. Each of the plurality support structures include a boot defining a cavity and configured to be secured to the vessel, a foot sized to fit within the cavity, a staff cap, a stabilizer base configured to be secured to the vessel, an elevational staff section connected to the foot and the staff cap terminal, and a horizontal staff section connected to the staff cap and the stabilizer base. The foot is inserted into the boot to secure the support structures in a rigid position, and the shroud is connected to both staff caps and the vessel. The stabilizer base can include a connection loop, and the shroud can be configured to be connected to the connection loop in order to connect the shroud to the vessel.
Stern transom and seating of a collapsible boat hull
A collapsible boat hull (10) with at least one bottom panel (16,18) and two side panels (12,14), and a removable transom (32) with attachment means (36) to engage the transom with the two sides of the boat hull, such that, during installation of the transom member, the attachment means initially engages with the sides of the boat, and rotation of the transom to an upright position in the boat hull retains the attachment means and the respective sides of the boat hull together. Releasable latches (42,44) at the lower edge of the transom engage with retaining members (54) on the bottom panels. Seating or cross-bracing has (100) which releasably engage with retainers on the sides of the boat.
Ship breaking down arrangement and method therefore
A ship breaking down arrangement (1) comprising,—two waterborne platforms (10, 20) having at least one removing means (60) for removing dismantled parts and/or fluids from a ship (40) which shall be broken;—a midsection (30) placed between and connected to said platforms lifting means provided on the platforms for lifting and lowering the ship between said platforms; and—at least one transporting means (90) for receiving and transporting said dismantled parts and/or fluids to a receiving location, wherein breaking down is performed while the ship is still located at sea. The application also relates to a method for breaking down ships.
OFFSHORE PLATFORM DECK REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD
An assembly for lifting a payload of an offshore platform is provided. The offshore platform includes a support structure supporting the payload. The payload includes a main deck and a column directly connected to the support structure, the column supporting the main deck. The assembly includes a lower lifting device, having a welding surface weldable to a welding portion of the column and an upper lifting device having a coupling interface adapted to couple to a coupling portion of the payload and a plurality of tension rods, connecting the lower lifting device and the upper lifting device. At least some tension rods of the plurality of tension rods extend for a rod length along a rod direction (X-X) between the lower lifting device and the upper lifting device. At least some tension rods of the plurality of tension rods are pre-tensioned to exert a compressive action to the payload.

Electrically-activated pressure vessels for fracturing frangible structures
An apparatus includes a pressure device bonded to the surface of a structure at a bonding location. The vessel comprises an interior space within the vessel and a bonding surface. A bonding agent bonds the bonding surface of the vessel to a surface of the structure. A gas-emitting material is disposed within the interior space of the vessel and an initiator is arranged to activate the gas-emitting material. Upon activation of the gas-emitting material by the initiator, the pressure device produces a localized force that breaks the structure.
