A FLETTNER ROTOR WITH LOCALIZED SUCTION
20230174208 · 2023-06-08 ·

A Flettner rotor that employs localized suction over its surface improves performance and fuel efficiency. Simulations and analysis show that such a method can significantly improve the performance of the Flettner rotor. Improvements in rotor performance enable reduction in fuel costs and greenhouse gas emission by ships or other modes of transport. Improvements in rotor performance can also reduce noise for applications such as drones or other devices having rotors.

Helicopter landing deck

The invention generally relates to two-bladed turbine nacelles and platforms integrated into the nacelle structure. In certain embodiments, the invention provides an assembly encompassing a nacelle that houses a two-bladed turbine and a hoisting platform. The hoisting platform is integrated into the structure of the nacelle so as to form the roof of the nacelle.

Sport harness

A sport harness for use with a kite or other propulsive device having a quick release feature whereby the user may release himself or herself from the harness while being pulled by a kite. The quick release feature including an interconnection between a spreader bar and one part of a two part waist band closure whereby releasing one end of the spreader bar causes the closure to separate. A harness having vent openings. An overlay for impeding tangling of lines with a harness.

Hull propulsion mechanism

A hull propulsion mechanism includes a ship body; a wind blade, which is set to the top of the ship body and has a plurality of sails for obtaining a rotating force from wind blade; a shaft, which sustains the wind blade and is a rolling axis as well for conveying the rotating force by the wind blade; a water pump, which is a power unit that circulates water by making use of a turning force from the shaft; and an engine, which obtains hull propulsion from screws that are rotated by a circulated water pressure from the water pump. With this configuration, the hull propulsion mechanism can obtain enough propulsive force without consuming fossil fuels.

Floatable Apparatus and a Coupling Assembly for a Floatable Apparatus
20200361580 · 2020-11-19 ·

A floatable apparatus includes a floatable body defining a longitudinal axis parallel with the length of the floatable body, a supporting member positioned under the floatable body for exerting a lifting force onto the floatable apparatus and a coupling assembly coupling the floatable body to the supporting member. The coupling assembly includes a base adapted to secure to the floatable body and a joint adapted to secure to the supporting member. The joint is detachably attached to the base and movable from a first position at which the joint is pivotable about and detachable from the base and a second position at which the joint abuts and is secured to the base. A coupling assembly for a floatable apparatus with a floatable body under which a supporting member is positioned for exerting a lifting force onto the floatable apparatus is also provided.
