The present disclosure is directed to a method for applying a multi-colored coating to a composite structure comprising applying a first co-curable film layer comprising a first color marking to a composite tool, applying a second co-curable film layer comprising a second color marking over the composite tool and at least partially over the first co-curable film layer to create a lay-up of a multi-colored marking, applying a composite structure over the lay-up of the multi-colored marking, and curing the lay-up of the multi-colored marking and the composite structure in a single curing step to create a cured multi-colored coating on the composite structure. A multi-colored coating for marking a composite structure and an aircraft part having a multi-colored marking are also provided.

A stiffening element comprises a tension and compression member, a shear member, an attachment member, and a plurality of beads. The tension and compression member is positioned spaced apart from the skin and configured to bear tension or compression forces that stiffen the skin and prevent the skin from buckling or bending. The shear member is connected to the tension and compression member and configured to bear shear forces between the skin and the tension and compression member. The attachment member is connected to the shear member and is configured to connect to the skin. The beads each create out-of-plane feature that is positioned in at least one of the shear member and the attachment member. The beads permit the stiffening element be reshaped to adjust a longitudinal curvature of the stiffening element.

Methods and devices for supporting of variety of different pre-cured composite stringers

Provided are methods and devices for supporting of variety of different pre-cured composite stringers after forming and prior to curing. A post-forming processing device comprises a base with a channel for receiving hat portions of different stringers. The device also comprises a support structure, at least partially extending within the channel. The support structure is configured to conform to different hat portions and to retain the shape of these hat portions. For example, the support structure is made from a flexible material, which conforms to any shape variations. In some examples, the support structure is made from a jamming material that is reshaped together with each of the pre-cured composite stringers. A post-forming processing device is used for supporting different pre-cured composite stringers while various operations are performed on these stringers, such as stringer trimming, inspection, installation of bladders and noodles, and the like.

An anti-icing honeycomb core composite manufactured by forming an electromagnetic wave absorption layer by using dielectric fiber, molding the electromagnetic wave absorption layer into a honeycomb core structure by using a molded part including a first base, a second base, and an inner block, hardening the honeycomb core structure, and removing the molded part. The molding step includes first stacking, on the first base including a plurality of grooves in which the inner blocks each having a hexagonal column shape are able to be seated, a plurality of the inner blocks and a plurality of the electromagnetic wave absorption layers as the honeycomb core structure so that the electromagnetic wave absorption layer is disposed between the plurality of inner blocks, and second stacking covering the inner blocks and the electromagnetic wave absorption layers stacked on the first base with the second base having the same shape as the first base.

The shaped parts are arranged in the form of parquetry with overlapping profile edges. As a result, the overlapping profile edges form stiffening profiles intersecting at an intersection. Furthermore, an aircraft which has at least one such fuselage component and a method for producing a fuselage component are described.
