A control surface system is disclosed having at least one body provided on an air vehicle; at least one wing flap for controlling air flow by moving relative to the body located thereon and thus allowing the air vehicle to maneuver; at least one actuator made of an electro-active polymer material located between the body and the wing flap, wherein the actuator changes shape depending on electrical energy and thus triggering the wing flap; at least one holder located on the actuator and attached to the actuator from at least a part; at least one housing on which the holder is removably attached and which can moves together with the holder by way of the action of the actuator.

Caul plate for irregular surface

Systems and methods for a caul plate for an irregular surface. One embodiment is a caul plate for co-curing or co-bonding a first composite part and a second composite part. A body of the caul plate includes a lower surface to face a top surface of the first composite part, a reference edge to locate the second composite part on the first composite part, and an upper surface that is opposite to the lower surface. The lower surface includes one or more bends to match one or more slopes in the top surface of the first composite part. The one or more bends correspond with ply changes in the first composite part.

Autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle

An autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle for land, sea and air use. The autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle is more specifically related to an unmanned aerial vehicle, wherein the autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle is configured to vertically take off and vertically land, fly with fixed wings and stay in the air silently for a long time by means of a balloon inflated behind it.

A VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) box-wing aerial vehicle with multirotor to provide VTOL flight includes a detachable cabin, centered fuselage, a pair of first wings extending outward from the upper portion of the fuselage and a pair of second wings extending outwardly and from the lower portion of the fuselage. The first and second wings are spaced apart longitudinally and vertically. The pylon joints the first wing and second wing at the tip to form the box-wing. The pylon includes heading control rudder. Secured to the wing or pylon or both wing and pylon, an overhead boom extending longitudinally to support a plurality of lift rotors or tiltable rotors for VTOL flight. Finally, the fuselage mounted push rotor or the overhead boom mounted tiltable rotors propel the vehicle forward to generate lift from the wings. Furthermore, the wings are equipped with elevators and ailerons for flight control.
