Non-contact support platform with open-loop control
A non-contact support platform with open-loop control, including: a surface, to support a workpiece by fluid-bearing of fluid flowing through a plurality of nozzles, a supply system, connected to the surface and configured to maintain the fluid-bearing by applying pressure to cause flow of the fluid out of a subset of the plurality of nozzles, and a controller, to control fluid flow in the supply system with an open-loop circuit to support the workpiece while it moves over the non-contact support platform, wherein the fluid flow is controlled based on at least parameter of a group of workpiece parameters consisting of a position of the workpiece, dimensions of the workpiece and a velocity of the workpiece while supported by the surface.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HANDLING AND REMOVING A PERIPHERAL REGION OF A GLASS SHEET
A glass manufacturing system including a scoring assembly. The scoring assembly including a scoring device disposed along a first surface of a glass ribbon and a backing device disposed along a second surface of the glass ribbon directly opposite the scoring device. The scoring assembly is configured to delineate a peripheral region from a central region of the glass ribbon by forming a vertical score line along the first surface as the glass ribbon moves downward in a y-axial direction between the scoring device and the backing device.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING FLOATATION OF A SUBSTRATE
A system comprises a floatation table comprising a plurality of ports to flow gas sufficient to produce a gas bearing to float a substrate over the floatation table; a fluidic network coupled to supply gas to the plurality of ports of the floatation table; and a controller configured to control the fluidic network to independently control flows of gas through ports of the plurality of ports disposed in each of a first zone, a second zone, and a third zone of the floatation table. The first, second, and third zones are defined by sections of the floatation table extending parallel to a direction the substrate is conveyed along the floatation table. The first zone is defined by a central section of the floatation table disposed between two sections defining the second zone, and the first and second zones are disposed between two sections defining the third zone.
NON-CONTACT SUPPORT PLATFORM WITH OPEN-LOOP CONTROL
A non-contact support platform with open-loop control, including: a surface, to support a workpiece by fluid-bearing of fluid flowing through a plurality of nozzles, a supply system, connected to the surface and configured to maintain the fluid-bearing by applying pressure to cause flow of the fluid out of a subset of the plurality of nozzles, and a controller, to control fluid flow in the supply system with an open-loop circuit to support the workpiece while it moves over the non-contact support platform, wherein the fluid flow is controlled based on at least parameter of a group of workpiece parameters consisting of a position of the workpiece, dimenions of the workpiece and a velocity of the workpiece while supported by the surface.
O-ring and conveyance apparatus
An O-ring and a conveyance apparatus are provided. The O-ring includes an O-ring body having an annular shape. The O-ring further includes a plurality of protrusions arranged at intervals on an outer annular surface of the O-ring body and configured to support a glass substrate and convey the glass substrate as the O-ring body rotates, so that a total area of contact between the glass substrate and the O-ring is reduced, thereby reducing a print area. In addition, after the protrusions and the glass substrate come into contact, contact marks are in a discontinuous state or, in other words, are in a spaced state, and prints are also discontinuous or spaced prints, thereby mitigating visual effects of the prints, and eliminating the prints at low costs.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SORTING PLIES
A ply sorting device is disclosed, comprising a picker and a buffer. The picker is arranged to pick planar plies of cut fiber material and move them to the buffer. The buffer comprises a plurality of substantially planar supports each arranged to receive phes from the picker and to support the plies in planar orientation. The planar supports are movably arranged relative to each other to receive the plies. In addition, a method of sorting plies of differing geometry is disclosed. Planar plies of cut fiber material are picked and moved to supports of a buffer where plies are received in a planar orientation, and supports are moved relative to each other to receive the plies.
Conveying apparatus
Disclosed is an apparatus for conveying glass panels contains a conveying device including a feed conveyor and a removal conveyor, and also a region with a processing station. A lifting device for glass panels is provided upstream of the processing station and a lowering device for glass panels is provided downstream of the processing station, wherein a linear-conveying device is provided between the lifting device and the lowering device. It is thus possible for glass panels to be moved, by raising action, linear movement and lowering action, around a first component located in the region in the processing station, the second component therefore passing the first component. During the passing operation, the second component always remains in the conveying plane, which is the same as the plane of the second component.
