A card separation apparatus includes a movable tray having a surface onto which a sheet is conveyed after a card has been separated from the sheet, and a card separation unit mounted on the surface for movement with the movable tray, the card separation unit having an opening through which the sheet is conveyed, and a controller configured to send an instruction to the movable tray to be moved at a predetermined timing after a leading edge of the sheet to which the card is attached enters the opening, so as to cause the sheet to be initially separated from the card.

The ladder is connected to at least one of the frame and the door. The ladder has a first side rail, a second side rail spaced a distance apart laterally from the first side rail, and a plurality of rungs extending between the first and second side rails. The ladder is configured to be at least partially positioned within the first opening of the frame. The cord manipulation assembly is connected to the door. The cord manipulation assembly has a power source connector, a reel adapted to support a cord, a motor operatively connected to the reel and the power source connector, and a remote control transceiver assembly operatively connected to the motor and the power source connector.

Printing devices include (and printing methods use) among other components, a processor, a printing engine operatively connected to the processor, a media supply tray operatively connected to the processor, etc. The media supply tray supplies sheets of media to the printing engine. The media supply tray has a light visible from the exterior of the printer. The processor controls the light to display different colors indicating different media loading conditions of the media supply tray. The different loading conditions can include a tray in use condition (indicated by the light displaying a first color); tray scheduled for use condition (indicated by the light displaying a second color); tray not in use condition (indicated by the light displaying a third color); tray empty condition, indicated by the light displaying a fourth color; etc.

A ladder assembly is described. The ladder assembly includes a frame, a door, a ladder and a cord manipulation assembly. The frame at least partially surrounds a first opening. The door is movably connected to the frame. The door is configured to cover at least a portion of the first opening of the frame, the door defines a second opening. The ladder is connected to at least one of the frame and the door. The ladder has a first side rail, a second side rail spaced a distance apart laterally from the first side rail, and a plurality of rungs extending between the first and second side rails. The ladder is configured to be at least partially positioned within the first opening of the frame. The cord manipulation assembly is positioned between a pair of adjacently disposed rungs of the ladder. The cord manipulation assembly has a power source connector, a reel adapted to support a cord, a motor operatively connected to the reel and the power source connector, and a remote control transceiver assembly operatively connected to the motor and the power source connector.
