ENHANCED STIRRUP FOR HORSEBACK RIDING DISCIPLINES
A safety stirrup for horseback riding having a first semi-arch element having a first end integrally connected to a first portion of a base element of the stirrup and a second end comprising a through hole (4) for mounting a stirrup leather; a second semi-arch element having an end elastically connected to a second portion of the base element opposed to the first portion is provided. The second semi-arch element is configured to delimit a portion for inserting a rider's foot into the stirrup. The stirrup comprises a support platform for the rider's foot associated with the base element. The platform is removably attached to the base element and the stirrup and may have elastic interposed between the platform and the base element, configured to define a distance between the platform and the base element in an initial rest condition, and adjustment means acting on the elastic means for changing the first distance from the initial rest condition.
Saddle rigging limiting stirrup strap movement, and methods
Disclosed is a rigging for a saddle, a saddle containing this rigging and a method of making the rigging wherein the rigging has a slot in the rigging material, the slot being large enough for at least a part of a stirrup leather or stirrup strap loop to pass through the slot, the rigging slot having a width for limiting the movement forward and/or rearward of a stirrup that is supported by the stirrup strap loop, the slot in the rigging located spaced downward on the saddle from a slot in a saddle tree of the saddle that supports the stirrup leather or stirrup strap loop.

SAFETY STIRRUP
A safety stirrup includes a C-shaped frame and a supporting assembly. A pivot portion and a first connecting portion are respectively disposed at two ends of the opening of the frame. An arm with a second connecting portion is pivotally connected to the pivot portion and is selectively connected with the first connecting portion. The supporting assembly consists of a first plate, a second plate with elasticity and a third plate. The third plate is stacked on the bottom portion of the frame. The second plate is stacked on the third plate. The first plate is stacked on the second plate with a higher position of a front end than that of a rear end.
Stirrup and method of using the same
A system and method for use of a stirrup with multiple treads and side pieces.

Retractable stirrup extension
A retractable stirrup extension for use with a saddle and horse. The extendable stirrup assembly includes an conventional fixed stirrup with an upper (top) foot plate for supporting the rider's foot during riding, and a retractable bottom foot plate retractably attached to the upper stirrup with an extension mechanism that provides about 4-8 inches of vertical travel (extension). The bottom foot plate travels easily between an open (extended) and a closed (retracted) position. The bottom foot plate provides a lower “step” for the rider to use when mounting the horse. A latching mechanism can be used when riding the horse.

The second semi-arch element is configured to delimit a portion for inserting a rider's foot into the stirrup. The stirrup may have an elastic interposed between the end of the second semi-arch element and the second portion of the base element. Such elastic has an extension direction parallel to a main axis of the base element allowing the second semi-arch element to bend along the main axis away from the first semi-arch element and to elastically return said second semi-arch element to a rest position.
SAFETY STIRRUP FOR HORSE RIDING
A safety stirrup for horse riding has a buckle (1) designed to be attached to a stirrup leather, a stirrup having an overall arch shape in which a rider inserts a foot in an insertion direction substantially perpendicular to the plane containing the arch, with a tread on the lower portion onto which a rider can place his foot, and at least one lateral branch (21, 22) linking said tread to a head (23) of the stirrup, and a device for attaching the head (23) of the stirrup to the buckle (1) that is designed to enable the stirrup to detach completely from the buckle (1) in the event of a fall. The attachment device includes a mechanism (3) for clipping the stirrup to the buckle (1) including at least one elastic element (31) designed to cooperate with at least one relief (13, 14) provided on a corresponding surface to prevent the stirrup from unclipping from the buckle (1), and a lower end of the buckle (1) and the head (23) of the stirrup cooperating via curved sliding surfaces (11a, 12a, 27) to enable, before unclipping and/or complete detachment of the stirrup and of the buckle (1), a relative rotation of the stirrup and of the buckle (1) in said insertion direction of a foot of the rider in the stirrup.
