Apparatus and methods for curing composite compositions that react with CO.sub.2. The apparatus in general includes an easily transportable and easily assembled curing structure, such as a plastic sheet housing supported by gas pressure and/or by mechanical supports. Apparatus for providing reagent CO.sub.2, for measuring water content and for removing water, and for controlling temperature, flow rates and flow directions through the curing structure. Examples of curing procedures and examples of cured materials in desired shapes are described.
ROOFING SHINGLE COMPOSITION
A roofing material is provided that comprises a coating composition including a filler and a bituminous composition comprising at least one bitumen base, at least one compound of general Formula (I): Ar1-R.sub.1—Ar.sub.2 (I), and at least one compound of general formula (II): R.sub.2—(NH).sub.nCONH—X—(NHCO).sub.p(NH).sub.n—R′.sub.2 (II). The invention also concerns a process for the preparation of a roofing material comprising the coating composition.

SYNCHRONOUS SINGLE-LIQUID GROUTING SLURRY, ITS TECHNOLOGY AND APPLICATION FOR LARGE DIAMETER SHIELD ENGINEERING UNDER WATER-RICH, HIGH-PRESSURE AND WEAK SOIL STRATA CONDITIONS
A synchronous single-liquid grouting slurry, its technology and application for large diameter shield engineering under water-rich, high-pressure and weak soil strata conditions, comprising raw materials: 1050-1200 parts of gold tailing, 420-480 parts of silicate cement clinker, 220-240 parts of fly ash, 45-120 parts of waste clay brick, 65-95 parts of slag, 25-45 parts of limestone tailing, 70-80 parts of steel slag, 30-45 parts of silica fume, 15-22 parts of desulfurized gypsum, and 9-15 parts of quick-setting and early-strength composite additive. The invention controls the d.sub.50, d.sub.85 and d.sub.95 of the material particles as 35-40, 42-48 and 50-55 μm, respectively. Gold tailing with the particle size of 120-600 μm being used as the fine aggregate, their volume fractions are 40-60%. The slurry production technique, comprising crushing-sieving-superfine ball milling-homogenization-particle size classification-variable speed mixing being developed. The shield tail eight-point grouting technique is being developed for filling.
Powdered quick-setting agent, quick-setting material, quick-setting material cured product, and spraying method
A powdered quick-setting agent containing a calcium aluminate and a sodium silicate, preferably further containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal sulfate, an alkaline earth metal sulfate, and an aluminum sulfate.
Biocementation method and system
The invention is directed to kits, compositions, tools and methods comprising a cyclic industrial process to form biocement. In particular, the invention is directed to materials and methods for decomposing calcium carbonate into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide at an elevated temperature, reacting calcium oxide with ammonium chloride to form calcium chloride, water, and ammonia gas; and reacting ammonia gas and carbon dioxide at high pressure to form urea and water, which are then utilized to form biocement. This cyclic process can be achieved by combining industrial processes with the resulting product as biocement. The process may involve retention of calcium carbonate currently utilized in the manufacture of Portland Cement.
Fireproof compositions and materials
The present invention relates to a composition in the form of a mixture comprising F-type fly ash, a reactive silicon source, a setting accelerator and a light aggregate with a density of less than 900 kg/m.sup.3 and a mechanical strength of at least 0.08 MPa, and the uses thereof to obtain light and fireproof construction materials.
Ultra-light mineral foam
A process for the production of a mineral foam includes separately preparing a slurry of cement and an aqueous foam, wherein the cement slurry includes water and Portland cement as well as calcium silicate hydrate crystallization seeds; contacting the slurry of cement with the aqueous foam to obtain a slurry of foamed cement; and casting the slurry of foamed cement and leave it to set.
CLASS C FLY ASH-BASED CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS, FLOWABLE FILL, CONCRETE, AND RELATED TECHNIQUES
Class C fly ash-based cementitious materials, concretes, and related techniques are disclosed. In accordance with some embodiments, an activated class C fly ash-based cementitious material may be produced by intergrinding class C fly ash (e.g., classified to remove quartz and/or other contaminants and, thus, increase the reactive materials present), an activator, sodium citrate, borax, and a polycarboxylate material. The class C fly ash may have an amorphous glass content of about 60 wt % or more, a calcium oxide (CaO.sub.2) content of about 20 wt % or more, and a quartz content of about 10 wt % or less. The activator may be a chemical which reacts with class C fly ash to form strätlingite structures therein when introduced with water. In some cases, the cementitious material may be provided as an all-in-one powder blend. In some case, techniques disclosed herein may be utilized in providing a fast-setting flowable fill material.
