SYNTHESIS OF POLYMER POLYOLS IN UNSATURATED POLYOLS, POLYMER POLYOLS AND THEIR USE
The present invention relates to the synthesis of polymer polyols in unsaturated polyols as liquid phase, polymer polyols and their use.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE (TPU) FOAM PRODUCT WITH HIGH FLATNESS, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) foam product with high flatness, and a preparation method and a use thereof are provided. The TPU foam product is prepared by processing aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane (ATPU) beads with a melting range of 20° C. to 50° C. and a melting point of 90° C. to 160° C. by a physical gas foaming process to obtain foamed ATPU beads and heating the foamed ATPU beads with a heat source to make the foamed ATPU beads fused. The TPU foam product with high flatness has a density of 0.08 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.8 g/cm.sup.3 and a flatness value of less than 2 mm, and the flatness value is determined by a fixed-length ruler. The TPU foam product not only has high flatness such that diversified designs are allowed for a surface of the product, but also has high resilience.
Metal or metal-plated reinforcement with sulfur polybenzoxazine-coated surface
A metallic or metallized reinforcer has at least a surface of which is at least partially metallic, the at least partially metallic surface being coated with a polybenzoxazine sulfide whose repeating units include at least one unit corresponding to formula (I) or (II): ##STR00001##
in which the two oxazine rings are connected together via a central aromatic group, the benzene ring of which bears one, two, three or four groups of formula —S.sub.x—R in which “x” is an integer from 1 to 8 and R represents hydrogen or a hydrocarbon-based group including 1 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally a heteroatom chosen from O, S, N and P. Such a reinforcement can be used for the reinforcement of a rubber article, in particular a motor vehicle tire.
SULFUR-BASED FUNCTIONAL PREPOLYMERS FOR POLYURETHANES AND POLYMERIC MATERIALS
A composition includes a reaction product of a mixture of elemental sulfur and at least a first ethylenically unsaturated compound comprising a hydroxyl or carboxyl group.
Methods relating to polyurethane foam-containing and degradable foam-containing tires, and degradable foam-containing tires
Disclosed herein are methods for degrading polyurethane foam from mounted polyurethane foam-containing tires, methods for separating a wheel from a mounted polyurethane foam-containing tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, and degradable foam-containing tires. The methods include applying a solution comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof to the polyurethane foam inside of a tire, incorporating a degradant comprising at least one phosphorous oxoacid or an ester thereof into the polyurethane foam, or both, and then heating to degrade the foam. Degradation of the foam allows for separation of the wheel from the rubber carcass of the tire.
SILICONE-BASED PRODUCTS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
There is provided silicone based materials with enhanced tackiness upon cure. These may be used for cured self-adhering silicone-based products such as pressure sensitive adhesives, self-adhering materials and/or self-sealing materials, made from condensation curable silicone-based compositions, the compositions therefor and to applications for which said self-adhesive products may be used. In one particular application the cured silicone based material may be utilised as a self-sealing layer in an inflatable article such as a pneumatic tire.
TIRE
The present disclosure provides a tire having excellent durability during high speed running. A tire including a sidewall portion including a thermoplastic elastomer composition having a specific heat capacity of 1.7 J/ (g .Math.K) or less, the tire having a depression with a depth of 0.2 to 3.0 mm and/or a projection with a height of 0.2 to 3.0 mm between the tread ground contact edge and the tire maximum width position of the sidewall portion.
Polyurea that is particularly useful as an adhesion primer for adhering metal to rubber
A polyurea comprises at least urea base units of formula —NH—CO—NH— and additional units. The additional units comprise at least, on the one hand, a secondary alcohol functional group and, on the other hand, an ether, thioether or secondary amine functional group in the alpha position with respect to the secondary alcohol functional group. Such a polymer can be used as an adhesion primer for the adhesive bonding of a substrate, for example, glass or metal, to an unsaturated rubber or as corrosion-resistant protective coating for a metal substrate. Metal reinforcers, such as thread, cord, film or plate, coated can also be coated with such a polymer.
TIRE WITH BORON NITRIDE REINFORCED POLYURETHANE
This invention relates to a vehicular tire containing at least one boron nitride reinforced polyurethane component. The polyurethane component is a cast polyurethane containing a dispersion of a layered hexagonally crystalline boron nitride (h-BN) particles. The polyurethane is the product of a castable liquid polyurethane reaction mixture derived from polyisocyanate and polymeric polyols without containing carbon-to-carbon bonds as distinguished from carbon-to-carbon double bond containing millable, sulfur curable, polyurethanes. It may sometimes be referred to as being a cast polyurethane.
POLYMER FILM AND POLYMER FILM MANUFACTURING METHOD
The present invention relates to a polymer film comprising a base film comprising polyamide-based resin; and two or more kinds of copolymers comprising polyamide-based segments and polyether-based segments, and a method for preparing the polymer film.
