HIERARCHICAL SILICA LAMELLA FOR MAGNETIC NUCLEIC ACID EXTRACTION
Disclosed herein is a novel method to fabricate magnetic silica nanomembranes using thin polymer cores based on silica deposition and self-wrinkling induced by thermal shrinkage. These micro- and nano-scale structures have vastly enlarged the specific area of silica, thus the magnetic silica nanomembranes can be used for solid phase extraction of nucleic acids. The magnetic silica nanomembranes are suitable for nucleic acid purification and isolation and demonstrated better performance than commercial particles in terms of nucleic acid recovery yield and integrity. In addition, the magnetic silica nanomembranes may have high nucleic acid capacity due to significantly enlarged specific surface area of silica. Methods of use and devices comprising the magnetic silica nanomembranes are also provided herein.
METHOD FOR PROCESSING TEXTILE WASTE INTO RECYCLED PLASTIC GRANULE
The invention relates to a for recycling fabric into plastic granule for plastic manufacturing processes, the method comprising the steps of: a) Collecting fabric comprising fabric fibers b) Pulverizing the fabric into a powder of fabric particles c) Pelletizing the powder with a binder such that fabric pellets comprising the powder of fabrics are formed d) Extruding a mixture of the fabric pellets and a plastic compound into plastic granule.
Composite Cooling Film Comprising a Reflective Nonporous Organic Polymeric Layer and a UV-Protective Layer
A composite cooling film including a reflective nonporous inorganic-particle-filled organic polymeric layer, an ultra-violet-protective layer or layers, and an antisoiling layer.
PRE-TREAMENT OF POLYOLEFIN WASTE TO IMPROVE DEPOLYMERIZATION
Pre-treatment methods for polyolefin-based feed streams before depolymerization are described. Polyolefins are separated from other material in the polyolefin-based feed stream using density differences in an aqueous solution, which allows for a pre-treatment method that does not affect the depolymerization catalyst. By removing the non-polyolefin materials from the feed stream, the depolymerization of the polyolefin material can proceed at lower temperatures for longer cycles. This results in a more efficient process with a smaller carbon footprint.
CROSSLINKED POLYOLEFIN SEPARATOR, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CROSSLINKED POLYOLEFIN SEPARATOR AND ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A crosslinked polyolefin separator having a ratio (A/B) of storage modulus G′ (A) to loss modulus G″ (B) of 2 or more, at a range of the frequency of the crosslinked polyolefin separator of 1 rad/s or less, in the frequency-loss/storage modulus curve. The crosslinked polyolefin separator is controlled to have a high ratio of storage modulus to loss modulus, and thus maintains its elasticity even at high temperature. Therefore, it is possible to provide a separator having improved safety.
CELLULOSE ESTERS COMPRISING RECYCLE CONTENT BUTYRYL
A recycle content cellulose ester and method of making a recycle content cellulose ester wherein the recycle content is derived directly or indirectly from the cracking of recycle content pyrolysis oil and/or gas. The cracking of the pyrolysis oil can be conducted in a gas furnace or a split furnace.
Method For Treatment Of Waste Material And Reactor System Thereof
The reactor system comprises a reactor vessel with at least one inlet and a first and a second outlet, which reactor vessel is configured for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer and which first and second outlet are configured for removal of a first and a second part of a reaction mixture. The reactor system further comprises a heat exchanger downstream of the first outlet. Herein the second outlet is arranged at a lower position of the reactor vessel than the first outlet. The first outlet is configured for removal of the first part being a dispersion and/or solution comprising said condensation polymer and depolymerisation products thereof in a solvent. Said first part is led to the heat exchanger. The second outlet is configured for removal of the second part including agglomerates. The reactor system is used for depolymerisation of a condensation polymer.
FILM HAVING LIGHT TRANSMITTANCE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a film having light transmittance and a manufacturing method thereof. The film includes a Polyurethane (PU) surface layer, and a thermoplastic elastomer layer. The thermoplastic elastomer layer is disposed under the PU surface layer. The thermoplastic elastomer layer includes color masterbatch material. The color masterbatch material is between 0.1-1% weight. By controlling the amount of color masterbatch material in the thermoplastic elastomer layer, the film of the present disclosure has real color appearance and good light transmittance.
TREATED WASTE PLASTIC MATERIALS
Quantities of plastic solids derived from mixed plastic waste are provided. The quantities can comprise polyolefins and/or polyethylene terephthalate and can be co-located with other quantities of plastic solids. The quantities of solids plastics can comprise particulate plastic solids that are suitable for use as feedstocks to various chemical recycling processes.
AUTOMATED PROCESS AND METHOD FOR MATERIAL SEPARATION AND RECYCLING
An automated process for separating and recycling a broad mix of waste material including industrial and commercial streams. The process begins by collecting the broad mix of waste material. Optionally, the broad mix of waste material is sorted to remove contamination from the broad mix of waste material. Next, the broad mix of waste material is coarsely shredded. Plastic film is removed from the broad mix of waste material, creating a stream of plastic film and a separate stream of dirty cardboard. Residual plastic is separated from the cardboard stream and included either in the plastic stream or in an independent third stream. The process yields separate streams of a film-rich recycled plastic and a clean recycled cardboard having a purity of at least about 95%. Also provided are a related system and at least one computer-readable non-transitory storage medium embodying software for performing the process.
