More specifically, the present disclosure relates to polymeric resin materials that include a filler that includes of a mixture of cured rubber granules, foam granules, and/or textile fibers. The filler can be suspended in and/or encapsulated by the polymeric resin material. The polymeric resin material, the filler, or both can include waste or scrap material from manufacturing or from ground post-consumer waste.

Resin material structure of slide fastener element having rubber layer
11261306 · 2022-03-01 · ·

The disclosure discloses a method for forming a rubber layer on a surface of a resin material. In the method, painting is first performed on the surface of the resin material to form a painting layer, using a paint to which a pigment has been added; then, rubber coating is performed to form a rubber layer on the painting layer. The method of the disclosure may be used in surface treatment of a fastener product. The disclosure further discloses a slide fastener, a buckle and a snap button using the method of the disclosure. The method of the disclosure may solve a conventional problem that a rubber coating is likely to fall off a resin surface, and the rubber on the surface of the resultant fastener product is less likely to fall off.

Compositions comprising thermoplastic vulcanizate, foamed material and articles made therefrom

The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising a thermoplastic vulcanizate, a propylene-based elastomer and a foaming agent, and to a foamed material comprising said composition. The foamed material has increased tensile properties and tension set while attaining comparable effects of reduction of weight.

Cyclic diene-based copolymers

Disclosed herein are copolymers formed by cationic polymerization of one or more cyclic dienes and a comonomer selected from the group consisting of a monoterpene, a branched styrene, and combinations thereof, in the presence of a catalyst. Random copolymers having repeat units derived from a cyclic conjugated diene, such as 1,3-cyclohexadiene, and a comonomer such as a monoterpene, can be prepared as soluble products in hydrocarbon solvents. The copolymers can be crosslinked with various crosslinking agents to form materials having good oxidative stability and fire retardancy. The uncrosslinked and crosslinked copolymers have useful properties such as a low dissipation factor, low dielectric constants, and a good balance of thermomechanical and electrical properties that make them valuable in electronic applications.
