EPOXY RESIN COMPOSITION, CURED RESIN PRODUCT, PREPREG, AND FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL
An epoxy resin composition comprises the following components [A] to [E]: [A] epoxy resin, [B] amine-type curing agent, [C] cure accelerator, and [D] red phosphorus. The epoxy resin composition contains, per 100 mass parts for the total amount of [A], 25-45 mass parts of [A1] a liquid bisphenolic epoxy resin and 20-40 mass parts of [A2] a phenol novolac-type epoxy resin, and has a content ratio of [E] to [D] ([E]/[D]) of at least 1. Provided are a light-weight fiber-reinforced composite material that exhibits an excellent flame retardancy and mechanical properties and does not produce halogen gas during combustion, and an epoxy resin composition that has a viscosity suitable for obtaining the fiber-reinforced composite material as well as prepregs.
METHOD OF USING PRE-PREG FILM FOR PRODUCING CARBON FIBER PARTS
A method of using clear UV protective film for producing a pre-preg carbon fiber part includes pre-applying a clear UV protective film to at least one of a top and bottom surface of a pre-preg carbon fiber workpiece, and placing the pre-preg carbon fiber workpiece between an upper mold portion and a lower mold portion of a hot press molding apparatus. Next, the method includes compressing the pre-preg carbon fiber workpiece between the upper and lower portions of the hot press molding apparatus to form a pre-preg carbon fiber part, and holding the pre-preg carbon fiber part in the hot press molding apparatus until the pre-applied clear UV protective film and the pre-preg carbon fiber part have cured.

A method of making a resin composition comprising; a polyolefin (A); a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVOH) (B) having an ethylene content of 20-65 mol % and a degree of saponification of 96% or more; a higher fatty acid metal salt (C) having 8 to 22 carbon atoms; a conjugated polyene compound (D) having a boiling point of 20 C. or higher; an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (E); and a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (F) having an ethylene content of 68-98 mol % and a degree of saponification of 20% or more, wherein the mass ratio (A:B) is 60:40 to 99.9:0.1, the amount of the higher fatty acid metal salts (C) is in the range of 0.0001 to 10 pbm per 100 pbm of the total of the polyolefin (A) and the EVOH (B), the amount of conjugated polyene compound (D) is in the range of 0.000001 to 1 pbm, and the total amount of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (B) and the saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (F) is 0.3 pbm or more.
