BITUMINOUS COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a bituminous composition comprising a mixture: a bitumen base, which represents at least 50% by weight, and preferably at least 80% by weight, and preferentially at least 90% by weight, of the total weight of the composition, and a hydroxide XOH with X=Na or K, which represents from 0.001 to 1% by weight of the total weight of the composition,
said bitumen base having an intrinsic stability S from 1 to 2.5 and/or a peptisation level Sa from 0 to 0.6, said values S and Sa being measured according to standard ASTM D 7157-12,
as well as the method of preparation and uses thereof, particularly in the field of road construction.
PITCH COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to a pitch composition comprising a mixture of: deasphalting pitch, which represents at least 50% by weight, and preferably at least 80% by weight, and preferentially at least 90% by weight, of the total weight of the composition, and a hydroxide XOH with X=Na or K, which represents from 0.001 to 1% by weight, of the total weight of the composition,
as well as the method of preparation and uses thereof, particularly in the field of road construction.
ASPHALT COMPOSITION
The present invention provides an asphalt composition containing an asphalt and a polyester, the polyester being a polycondensate of a polyethylene terephthalate, an alcohol, and a carboxylic acid compound, the alcohol containing an alkylene oxide adduct of bisphenol A.
Asphalt products and methods of producing them for rejuvenation and softening of asphalt
The present invention relates to relates to a method of producing an improved asphalt. This method includes providing an asphalt binder and providing a compound of formula (I): ##STR00001##
as described herein. The asphalt binder is mixed with the compound of formula (I) under conditions effective to produce an improved asphalt. Also disclosed are an asphalt product and a method of making asphalt material.
BITUMEN GRANULES WHICH ARE SOLID AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
Bitumen granules including at least: bitumen, a compound of general formula R1-(COOH)z (I), a compound of general formula R2-(NH)nCONH—X—(NHCO)p(NH)n-R3 (II), and a compound of general formula Ar1-R-Ar2 (III); and a method for producing the bitumen granules and to the use thereof as asphalt binder.
PARTIAL DISPLACEMENT OF PERFORMANCE GRADED LOW CARBON ASPHALT WITH WASTE PLASTIC
A method of forming an asphalt binder includes the steps of: providing a liquid binder base housed in a feeding tank; providing a plurality of unprocessed granules of a waste plastic material housed in a hopper; pumping the liquid binder base into a wetting tank; augering the plurality of unprocessed granules of the waste plastic material into the wetting tank; mixing the liquid binder base and the plurality of unprocessed granules of the waste plastic material to form a blended binder that includes 5 percent to 40 percent by volume of the waste plastic material and 60 percent to 95 percent by volume of the liquid binder base; pumping the blended binder into a storage tank; and mixing the blended binder at a temperature of 325° F. to 350° F. for a duration of 10 minutes to 30 minutes to form the asphalt binder.
Modified asphalts with enhanced rheological properties and associated methods
A modified asphalt binder with improved elastic properties and methods of making such modified asphalt binder. The modified asphalt binders may include one or more of an asphalt binder, a solvent deasphalted (SDA) pitch, a polymeric material, and optionally, a ground tire rubber. The disclosed modified asphalt binders exhibit properties consistent with decreased susceptibility to rutting and thus may be used in asphalt concrete applications.
MODIFIED BITUMEN COMPOSITION AND PROCESS OF PREPARATION THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to a modified bitumen composition comprising: (a) at least two refinery residues; and (b) a sulphur additive comprising: (i) sulphur; (ii) at least one H.sub.2S suppressant; (iii) at least one smell masking agent; and (iv) bitumen, wherein the sulphur and the at least one H.sub.2S suppressant is in the weight ratio range of 4:1 to 100:1. The present disclosure also discloses a process of preparing a modified bitumen composition and a process of preparing an asphalt pavement comprising a modified bitumen composition. Also provided herein use of a modified bitumen composition as an additive for waterproofing and road construction.
STEROL IN ASPHALT ROOFING MATERIALS
Disclosed are compositions and methods of making and using asphalt roofing materials. The asphalt roofing materials include sterols. The sterols improve various rheological and aging properties of the asphalt roofing materials.
FOAM BODY, LAYERED FOAM BODY, RESIN SHEET, AND HOUSING BUILDING MATERIAL
The present invention aims to provide a foam, a laminated foam, and a resin sheet having good foaming properties, capable of exhibiting particularly excellent vibration-damping properties while being lightweight, and useful for recycling interlayer films for a laminated glass. The present invention also aims to provide a building material for housing including any of the foam, the laminated foam, and the resin sheet. Provide is a foam having a plurality of cells, the foam containing a polyvinyl acetal, a plasticizer, and a hydrogenated petroleum resin, the hydrogenated petroleum resin containing a compound having a softening point of 130° C. or higher.
