Aromatic Polysulfone Copolymers
Compositions and methods for aromatic polysulfone copolymers are described herein. The polysulfone copolymers have advantageous properties, particularly in terms of high glass transition temperatures (T.sub.g), improved thermal stability, improved flame resistance, good mechanical properties, chemical resistance and dimensional stability at elevated temperature. The polysulfone copolymers are suitable for manufacturing high temperature molded systems and other articles of manufacture via injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, coating, blow molding, thermoforming, rotational molding and additive manufacturing.

A composition [composition (C)] comprising from 1 to 90% by weight (wt. %) of at least one poly(aryl ether ketone) [(PAEK) polymer], from 1 to 25 wt. % of at least one polyphenylsulfone polymer [(PPSU) polymer], from 1 to 90 wt. % of at least one polyethersulfone polymer [(PES)polymer], and from 0.1 to 50 wt. % of at least one reinforcing filler, where all wt. % are based on the total weight of the composition (C) and the (PES) polymer has as melt flow rate(MFR) at a temperature of 380° C. and under a load of 2.16 kg according to ASTM D1238 of greater than 35 g/10 min.
BIOACTIVE COMPOSITES WITH FUNCTION OF RADIOPACITY
A bioactive composite includes 10% to 40% by weight of calcium sulfate (CaSO.sub.4), 10% to 20% by weight of tantalum pentoxide (Ta.sub.2O.sub.5), and 40% to 80% of polyetheretherketone (PEEK). Calcium sulfate is anhydrous calcium made by removing crystallization water of beta calcium sulfate hemihydrate.

Polyester composition, polyester film, and magnetic recording medium
The invention provides a polyester composition in which the primary repeating units contain an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component (Component A) and an ethylene glycol component (Component C) and a long-chain alkyl dicarboxylic acid component having not less than 6 carbons (Component B) or a long-chain alkyl diol component having not less than 6 carbons (Component D), wherein a sum (WB+WD) of a relative amount (WB) of Component B as calculated based on a total number of moles of Component A and Component B plus a relative amount (WD) of Component D as calculated based on a total number of moles of Component C and Component D are within a range of 2-13 mol %. The invention also provides a polyester film prepared from the polyester composition and having excellent dimensional stability, as well as a magnetic recording medium utilizing the polyester film.
Coating system having high surface roughness
A coating system including at least one reactive resin system RH, at least one thixotropic assistant TH selected from the group consisting of urea preparations HZ and fibers FS and at least one inorganic aggregate AZ having a particle size in the range from 0.2 to 3.0 mm. The coating system has a viscosity as measured with a shear rate of 1 s.sup.−1 of 9000-100,000 Pas and a viscosity as measured with a shear rate of 100 s.sup.−1 of 400-15,000 Pas. The coating system is notable for high surface roughness and for reliable and long-term bonding of the aggregates to the coating with no need for sealing. There is also no need for the coating to be subsequently strewn with aggregates such as sand, for example.
