The invention relates to a particle with a core-shell structure, the core of which comprises at least one thermochromic semiconductor and the shell comprises at least two layers—an inner layer in contact with the core and comprising a mineral material or an organo-mineral hybrid material; and—an outer layer comprising a mineral material or an organo-mineral hybrid material, different from that of the inner layer. The invention also relates to a method for producing this particle, and the use thereof as a temperature indicator, in particular in a culinary article, such as a pan.

NON-INJURIOUS INCAPACITATING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

A non-injurious incapacitating device is provided that includes an exterior layer defining a contained volume. A primary effect is contained within the device that deploys to size at least 10 times that of the contained volume. A power supply and a sensor are provided. The sensor communicates a contact or proximity signal when the exterior layer contacts or is within an effective range of a target. A control circuit interconnects provides a triggering signal to the primary effect based on the contact or proximity signal. The device is provided in some embodiments as a system inclusive of a launcher. A method of non-injuriously incapacitating of a target individual is also provided in which a user directs a device into proximity of the target individual. The device deploys an expansive primary effect to non-injuriously incapacitate the target individual.

Method for manufacturing room-temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition, room-temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition, and article

Through the present invention, by undergoing a step in which a straight-chain diorganopolysiloxane having silanol groups at both terminal ends of the molecular chain thereof, a hydrolyzable silane and/or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof having a hydrolyzable group capable of detaching a lactic acid ester, and an amino-group-containing hydrolyzable organosilane and/or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof are pre-mixed/reacted in advance and silanol groups at both terminal ends of the molecular chain of a main agent (base polymer) are blocked by specific hydrolyzable silyl groups, it is possible to manufacture a lactic-acid-ester-type room-temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition excellent in all characteristics including curability, adhesive properties, workability, and the like that were not attainable by the conventional lactic-acid-ester-type room-temperature curable (RTV) silicone rubber composition.
