Microfibrillated cellulose as rheology modifier in adhesives
The present invention relates to starch-based adhesive compositions comprising microfibrillatedcellulose (“MFC”). In addition to microfibrillated cellulose, these adhesive compositions comprise at least one starch and/or at least one starch derivative.
MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AS A CROSSLINKING AGENT
The present invention relates to a composition for use as an adhesive, paint, coating, resin, (surface) size, composite, gel or hydrogel, said composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose (MFC). In addition to microfibrillated cellulose, these compositions comprise at least one solvent, said solvent preferably comprising or consisting of water, and at least one compound that is (a) capable of polymerizing, or has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, preferably OH groups, that are capable of crosslinking with at least one functional group of the microfibrillated cellulose. In these compositions, the microfibrillated cellulose primarily functions as a crosslinking agent (while it is by no means excluded that the microfibrillated cellulose additionally has other functionalities, such as acting as viscosity modifier and/or thixotropic additive), integrating the compound that (a) is capable of polymerizing or that has already partly or fully, polymerized, and that (b) has at least two groups available for hydrogen bonding, into a gel-like three-dimensional network.
Transmission belt
Disclosed is a power transmission belt having a belt body made of rubber, and a cord embedded in the belt body so as to form a helical pattern having a pitch in a belt width direction. The cord is coated with an adhesion layer formed by an adhesion treatment and containing a rubber component, and the adhesion layer is in contact with a rubber composition containing cellulose-based fine fibers.

MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AS RHEOLOGY MODIFIER IN ADHESIVES
The present invention relates to starch-based adhesive compositions comprising microfibrillatedcellulose (MFC). In addition to microfibrillated cellulose, these adhesive compositions comprise at least one starch and/or at least one starch derivative.
Adhesive composition
A starch-based adhesive composition, having a tan at 10 Hz and 20 C. of at least 1.40 is provided. The adhesive composition is in particular useful as labelling adhesive. Also provided is a bottle that has a label whereby the label is attached to the bottle by the aforesaid adhesive composition.
Membrane electrode assembly manufacturing process
A method of making a component of a membrane electrode assembly comprising the steps of forming an electrode on an air-permeable backer comprising ePTFE, depositing a mixture comprising ionomer and a water-insoluble alcohol onto said electrode, drying said mixture to form a protective ionomer layer, and depositing an ePTFE-reinforced ionomer layer onto said protective ionomer layer.
RUBBER COMPOSITION
According to the rubber composition of the present invention comprising 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of -9 fatty acid amide and 0.1 to 100 parts by mass of an adhesive resin based on 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, the rubber composition being excellent in processability, mold release characteristics and abrasion resistance can be provided.

Adhesive Compositions and Use Thereof
The invention provides hot melt adhesive with wide service temperature ranges, methods of using the adhesive to bond substrates together, to close/seal cases and cartons and the like, and to articles of manufacture comprising the adhesive. The hot melt adhesive comprises a metallocene catalyzed polyethylene copolymer, less than 10 wt % of a functionalized metallocene catalyzed polyethylene copolymer, greater than 22 wt % of a wax, a tackifier and optionally, additives.
