ADHESIVE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A COMBINATION OF (I) MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE AND (II) A METAL IN AN OXIDATION STATE OF II OR GREATER
The present invention relates to an adhesive composition comprising, among others, (i) microfibrillated cellulose and (ii) a metal in oxidation state of II or greater. The present invention further relates to uses of such an adhesive composition and to products prepared with such an adhesive composition. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process for making corrugated paperboards or cardboards, or solid paperboards or cardboards by using such an adhesive composition.
Method of producing a mineral wool product comprising a multiple of lamellae and a product of such kind
A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
WATER-BASED ADHESIVE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF LAMINATED CELLULOSIC BOARDS COMPRISING MONOLAYER GRAPHENE OXIDE, LAMINATED CELLULOSIC BOARDS OBTAINED THEREWITH, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
A water-based adhesive for the manufacture of laminated cellulosic boards includes monolayer graphene oxide as a glue enhancer. Laminated cellulosic boards may be obtained by providing cellulosic plies, applying a water-based adhesive, and contacting the surface of another cellulosic ply to the first cellulosic ply. A method for producing the water-based adhesive includes mixing starch, water and glue enhancer. The glue enhancer is a suspension of between 0.1 wt % and 0.001 wt % of monolayer graphene oxide in water.

GLUE STICK COMPOSITION
A water based glue stick composition includes adhesive and nanocrystalline cellulose. The composition is contained in a glue stick that can be used for planar joining of substrates to one another. The substrates can include paper and/or cardboard such as printer paper, photo paper and cardboard paper.
DISSOLVABLE LABEL
The development of the Dissolvable Labels for Medvantage® Machine fulfills this need. The Dissolvable Labels for Medvantage® Machine, as its name implies, is a line of dissolvable labels for use on a specific brand of printer. The labels would be used in a wide variety of applications including healthcare, foodservice, sterile processing, and other similar applications. They would be made available in a wide variety of sizes including but not limited to 2½″ square, ⅞″ by 1⅝″, ⅞″ by 2¼″, and similar sizes. Also, in addition to various colors, the invention would be made in various finishes such as synthetic and matte. The invention is specifically designed for use in printers manufactured by MedVantage®, although they could be adapted for use with different manufacturers as well. The use of the Dissolvable Labels for Medvantage® Machine allows for the production of labels that can be removed at a later time in a manner which is not only quick, easy, and effective, but ecologically and economically friendly as well.
Self-stick insulation and methods
A method of using a self-stick insulation. The method includes providing a piece of insulation product with an adhesive coating. The adhesive coating includes polystyrene-maleic anhydride (SMA) and/or polyacrylic acid (PAA); an alcohol amine; and at least one of a polyvinyl alcohol and a starch. The adhesive coating is then activated with liquid water. Once the adhesive coating is active, the insulation product is attached to a surface with the adhesive coating.

PRODUCTION OF CORRUGATED PAPERBOARDS AND CARDBOARDS COMPRISING CHEMICALLY TREATED PAPER
The present invention relates to a high speed process for making corrugated paperboards and cardboards, said paperboards and cardboards comprising chemically treated paper, and said process using a starch-based adhesive that comprises microfibrillated cellulose. The present invention also relates to corrugated paperboards and cardboards comprising said starch-based adhesive composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose and said chemically treated paper.
IMPROVED CORRUGATING ADHESIVES
Disclosed herein is a starch based corrugating adhesive comprising modified starch, and methods for making such corrugating adhesive. In some embodiments, the corrugating adhesive may contain a carrier component comprising a gelatinized modified starch, and a suspended component comprising a granular modified starch. In some embodiments, the granular and gelatinized modified starch may be from the same base starch. In some embodiments, the modified starch is obtained from a starch having an amylose content between about 30% and less than 40%. Also disclosed herein are corrugated materials made using the corrugating adhesives described herein.
