A PSA composition comprising a block copolymer of a monovinyl-substituted aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound, a tackifier resin, and a softening agent is provided. The tackifier resin comprises a natural product-based tackifier resin (A) having a softening point higher than 80° C. and containing no aromatic ring, and a petroleum-based tackifier resin (B) having a softening point higher than 100° C. and containing an aromatic ring. The content of the tackifier resin (A) is 40 to 120 parts by weight, the content of the tackifier resin (B) is 5 to 40 parts by weight, the total amount of the tackifier resin is 60 to 160 parts by weight, and the content of the softening agent is 5 to 40 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the block copolymer, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the block copolymer.

The inventors have discovered hot melt adhesive compositions that can be formulated to have a high percentage of environmentally conscious components and still provide performance over a broad temperature range.

The invention features a hot melt adhesive composition including from 5% by weight to 50% by weight of a styrene block copolymer, from 15% by weight to 75% by weight of a bio-based tackifying agent, and from 5% by weight to 40% by weight of an aliphatic plasticizer having a cyclo-aliphatic content of no greater than 1% by weight as tested by .sup.1H-NMR Spectroscopy, wherein said hot melt adhesive composition has an environmentally conscious component content of at least 50% by weight.

A self-adhesive article comprises a support layer and at least one self-adhesive layer obtained after crosslinking to the moisture in the adhesive composition according to the invention. The self-adhesive article can be used to bond low-energy substrates, in particular plastic substrates, notably thermoplastic substrates having low surface energy.

The present invention provides a UV curable resin composition that can be cured without going through a high-temperature heating process and has excellent adhesiveness, and a sheet using the same.

The UV curable resin composition comprises a rubber component with a diene skeleton, a photopolymerization initiator, a crosslinker and a tackifier. The composition contains a solid rubber component and a liquid rubber component at 25° C. as the rubber component with the diene. Since the UV curable composition can be cured by UV irradiation in a short time, it can be applied not only to adherends with high heat resistance but also to various parts.

Disclosed herein are pressure sensitive adhesive compositions that can include a styrene-butadiene rubber latex and a tackifier agent. In another example, the pressure sensitive adhesive compositions can include a styrene-butadiene rubber latex and acrylic polymer. The adhesive compositions can further include mineral oil and ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber. The pressure sensitive adhesives compositions can have a have low volatile organic compound vapor pressures while having effective adhesion properties on low surface energy substrates.

Provided is an adhesive sheet including at least one adhesive layer, the adhesive layer containing a base polymer, a tackifier resin (T1) having a hydroxy value of less than 20 mgKOH/g, and a tackifier resin (T2) having a hydroxy value of 20 mgKOH/g or more and 120 mgKOH/g or less, the base polymer being a block copolymer of a monovinyl-substituted aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound, and the adhesive layer containing the tackifier resin (T1) in an amount of 10 parts by weight or more and 60 parts by weight or less relative to 100 parts by weight of the base polymer, and the tackifier resin (T2) in an amount of 1 part by weight or more and 40 parts by weight or less relative to 100 parts by weight of the base polymer.

The disclosure also relates to use of a waste matrix of the label laminate for producing granulates of recycled plastic.

BRANCHED AMORPHOUS POLYAMIDE (CO)POLYMERS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME

Branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymers having a backbone formed by reacting a reaction mixture including at least 25 mol % of a di-amine selected from a secondary di-amine, a branched di-amine, or a combination thereof; and an aliphatic acid blend including a branched aliphatic dimer acid and a branched aliphatic trimer acid. The molar equivalent ratio of the di¬ amine to the aliphatic acid blend is 0.9-1.1. Preferably, the branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymer is not telechelic. The branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymer preferably exhibits one or more of a shear modulus of from 10,000 to 500,000 Pa at 70° C., a complex viscosity of greater than 1,000,000 mPa*s at 70° C., a glass transition temperature of less than 25° C., or a number average molecular weight of greater than 10,000 Da. Biodegradable and/or compostable adhesive articles including the branched amorphous polyamide (co)polymer also are disclosed.
