ZINC PLATED STEEL SHEET HAVING EXCELLENT SURFACE QUALITY AND SPOT WELDABILITY, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a zinc plated steel sheet having excellent surface quality and spot weldability, and a manufacturing method therefore. A zinc plated steel sheet according to one aspect of the present invention comprises a base steel sheet and a zinc-based plating layer formed on the surface of the base steel sheet, wherein the GDOES profile of oxygen, which is measured in the depth direction from the surface of the base steel sheet, has a form in which a local minimum point and a local maximum point alternately appear in the depth direction from the surface, and the difference (a local maximum value—a local minimum value) between the oxygen concentration (a local minimum value) at the local minimum point and the oxygen concentration (a local maximum value) at the local maximum point can be 0.1 wt % or more.
HOT-ROLLED STEEL SHEET FOR NON-ORIENTED ELECTROMAGNETIC STEEL SHEETS
A hot-rolled steel sheet for non-oriented electrical steel sheets includes, by mass %: C: 0.0010% to 0.0050%; Si: 1.90% to 3.50%; Al: 0.10% to 3.00%; Mn: 0.05% to 2.00%; P: 0.100% or less; S: 0.005% or less; N: 0.0040% or less; B: 0.0060% or less; Sn: 0% to 0.50%; Sb: 0% to 0.50%; Cu: 0% to 0.50%; REM: 0% to 0.0400%; Ca: 0% to 0.0400%; Mg: 0% to 0.0400%; and a remainder including Fe and impurities, in which a hardness H.sub.D of a deformed structure of a thickness middle portion (½t position) in a sheet width direction end portion of the hot-rolled steel sheet for non-oriented electrical steel sheets is Hv 220 or less.
Press hardened steel with surface layered homogenous oxide after hot forming
A press-hardened steel is provided. The press-hardened steel has an alloy matrix including from about 0.01 wt. % to about 0.35 wt. % carbon, from about 1 wt. % to about 9 wt. % chromium, from about 0.5 wt. % to about 2 wt. % silicon, and a balance of iron. The alloy matrix is greater than or equal to about 95 vol. % martensite. A first layer is disposed directly on the alloy matrix. The first layer is continuous, has a thickness of greater than or equal to about 0.01 μm to less than or equal to about 10 μm, and includes an oxide enriched with chromium and silicon. A second layer is disposed directly on the first layer, and includes an oxide enriched with Fe. Methods of preparing the press-hardened steel are also provided.
Martensite-based stainless steel component and method for manufacturing the same
Provided is a martensite-based stainless steel component that has a nitride layer on a surface of a martensite-based stainless steel with a constituent composition including, in percent by mass, 0.25 to 0.45% of C, 1.0% or less of Si, 0.1 to 1.5% of Mn, 12.0 to 15.0% of Cr, and 0.5 to 3.0% of Mo, with a remainder being Fe and impurities, wherein hardness at a position of a depth of 0.1 mm from a surface of the martensite-based stainless steel component is 650 HV or more, and a number density of carbide with an equivalent circle diameter of 1 μm or more is 100 particles/10000 μm.sup.2 in a sectional structure at the position of the depth of 0.1 mm from the surface of the martensite-based stainless steel component. Also, a method for manufacturing the martensite-based stainless steel component is provided.
High strength galvanized steel sheet and method for manufacturing the same
A high strength galvanized steel sheet has a composition including, C: 0.02% or more and 0.30% or less, Si: 0.01% or more and 2.5% or less, Mn: 0.1% or more and 3.0% or less, P: 0.003% or more and 0.08% or less, S: 0.01% or less, Al: 0.001% or more and 0.20% or less, Ti: 0.03% or more and 0.40% or less and the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, and a zinc-coated layer having a coating weight per surface of 20 g/m.sup.2 or more and 120 g/m.sup.2 or less. The concentration ratio of C to Ti (C/Ti) in a portion within 10 μm from the surface of the base steel sheet is 0.8 or more and 1.5 or less, and the total amount of oxides of one or more selected from Fe, Si, Mn, P, Al and Ti formed in a surface portion within 100 μm from the surface of the base steel sheet is 0.05 g/m.sup.2 or less.
NON-ORIENTED ELECTRICAL STEEL SHEET AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A non-oriented electrical steel sheet having high magnetic flux density and a low iron loss at a high frequency is produced by subjecting a slab containing, in mass %, C: not more than 0.0050%, Si: 2.8 to 6.5%, Mn: 0.05 to 2.0%, P: not more than 0.10%, S: not more than 0.0050%, Al: 0.3 to 2.0%, N: not more than 0.0050% and Zn: 0.0005 to 0.0050% to a hot rolling, a hot-band annealing, a cold rolling and a finish annealing, a dew point in the hot-band annealing is set to 0 to 70 ° C. and an atmosphere of the finish annealing has a nitrogen content of not more than 30 vol % and a dew point of not higher than −20° C., and a ratio of the amount of nitrogen present as AlN in an entire sheet thickness to the amount of nitrogen present as AlN in a layer from one-side surface of steel sheet to a depth of 1/20 of sheet thickness is made to not less than 5.0.
HEAT TREATED STEEL PRODUCT HAVING HIGH STRENGTH AND EXCELLENT CHEMICAL CONVERSION COATING ABILITY AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF SAME
A steel product bent by heating to 600° C. or more, specifically a heat treated steel product having high strength and excellent chemical conversion coating ability which has scale with FeO content of 90% or more, having a thickness of 1 μm or less on the surface.
COOLING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COOLING A WIRE AND CORRESPONDING WIRE-PROCESSING INSTALLATION
Cooling device (1) for cooling a wire (100), comprising a first chamber (2) and a second cooling chamber (4) through which the wire (100) passes. The device also comprises cooling liquid driving means (16) for driving the cooling liquid from the first chamber (2) to the second chamber (4) through at least one coding liquid inlet (12). Through the driving means (16) and the cooling liquid inlet (12), a jet of coding liquid is projected on the wire path at a mean speed of at least 0.6 m/s, and at a distance between 6 and 13 times the diameter of the wire (100). Cooling is performed in an inert gas atmosphere inside the second chamber (4). The invention also relates to a corresponding installation and a corresponding wire cooling method.
METHOD OF PRESS-HARDENING A HOT-SHAPABLE PLATE
A hot-shapable uncoated steel-plate workpiece is press hardened by first transporting the plate through a heating zone continuously or discontinuously and there heating the plate to an austenitizing temperature while blocking entry of oxygen into the heating zone. Then the heated plate is cooled in a cooling zone to a martensitizing temperature below the austenitizing temperature without contacting the heated plate with oxygen. Finally, immediately and without cooling of the cooled workpiece to a martensite start temperature, the cooled workpiece is deformed at least partially in a finishing press into a desired shape.
