FORMING AND/OR INSPECTING COOLING APERTURE(S) IN A TURBINE ENGINE COMPONENT
A manufacturing method is provided. During this method, a preform component for a turbine engine is provided that includes a substrate. A meter section of a cooling aperture is formed in the substrate. An external coating is applied over the substrate. At least a portion of the substrate and the external coating is scanned with an imaging system to provide scan data indicative of an internal structure of the portion of the substrate and the external coating. A diffuser section of the cooling aperture is formed in the external coating and the substrate based on the scan data.

A manufacturing method is provided during which a preform component for a turbine engine is provided. The preform component includes a substrate and a locating feature at an exterior surface of the substrate. An outer coating is applied over the substrate. The outer coating covers the locating feature. At least a portion of the preform component and the outer coating are scanned with an imaging system to provide scan data indicative of a location of the locating feature. A cooling aperture is formed in the substrate and the outer coating based on the scan data.

A method for fabricating an external element or a timepiece dial from non-conductive material, by performing or repeating a basic cycle of making a base from a non-conductive, or ceramic, or glass. or sapphire substrate; dry coating the base with a first sacrificial protective metal layer; etching a decoration with an ultrashort pulse laser to a depth at least equal to the local thickness of the first layer; dry coating the decoration and the remaining part of the first layer with a second metal and/or coloured decorative treatment layer; chemically removing each first layer; and before or after chemical removal of each first layer, mechanically levelling on the upper level of the base the compound thus formed.

Cold-rolled steel sheet having excellent high-temperature properties and room-temperature workability
The present disclosure provides a cold-rolled steel sheet having excellent high-temperature properties and room-temperature workability, including, by weight: carbon (C): 0.0005 to 0.003%, manganese (Mn): 0.20 to 0.50%, aluminum (Al): 0.01 to 0.10%, phosphorus (P): 0.003 to 0.020%, nitrogen (N): 0.0005 to 0.004%, sulfur (S): 0.015% or less, niobium (Nb): 0.005 to 0.040%, chromium (Cr): 0.10 to 0.50%, tungsten (W): 0.02 to 0.07%, and a balance of iron (Fe) and other inevitable impurities, wherein C, Nb, and W satisfy the following relationship 1, a microstructure comprises 95 area % or more of polygonal ferrite and 5 area % or less of acicular ferrite, and the cold-rolled steel sheet comprises (Nb,W)C-based precipitates having an average size of 0.005 to 0.10 μm and a method for manufacturing the same:

Composite metal foil and preparation method thereof
A composite metal foil and a preparation method thereof are provided. The composite metal foil includes a carrier layer, a barrier layer, a striping layer, and a metal foil layer. The carrier layer, the barrier layer, the striping layer, and the metal foil layer are sequentially stacked, the barrier layer includes a metal bonding layer and a high-temperature resistant layer stacked, and the metal bonding layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the high-temperature resistant layer. The striping layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the metal foil layer so as to facilitate peeling of the carrier layer, and the barrier layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the metal foil layer so as to prevent the carrier layer and the metal foil layer from diffusing mutually to cause bonding at a high temperature, so that the carrier layer and the metal foil layer are easy to peel off. In addition, the metal bonding layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the high-temperature resistant layer, so that the barrier layer is not easy to separate from the carrier layer, and peeling between the barrier layer and the carrier layer is prevented.
Composite metal foil and preparation method thereof
A composite metal foil and a preparation method thereof are provided. The composite metal foil includes a carrier layer, a barrier layer, a striping layer, and a metal foil layer. The carrier layer, the barrier layer, the striping layer, and the metal foil layer are sequentially stacked, the barrier layer includes a metal bonding layer and a high-temperature resistant layer stacked, and the metal bonding layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the high-temperature resistant layer. The striping layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the metal foil layer so as to facilitate peeling of the carrier layer, and the barrier layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the metal foil layer so as to prevent the carrier layer and the metal foil layer from diffusing mutually to cause bonding at a high temperature, so that the carrier layer and the metal foil layer are easy to peel off. In addition, the metal bonding layer is disposed between the carrier layer and the high-temperature resistant layer, so that the barrier layer is not easy to separate from the carrier layer, and peeling between the barrier layer and the carrier layer is prevented.
Pre-coated steel sheet comprising an additional coating for increasing the mechanical strength of the weld metal zone of a welded steel part prepared from said pre-coated sheet.
A pre-coated steel sheet wherein at least a region at the periphery (7) of at least one (6a,6b) of the opposite faces (6a,6b) of said pre-coated sheet (1,1′) is coated with an additional coating (8) selected for increasing the vapor pressure between the pre-coating (2) and said additional coating (8) during a laser welding method up to a critical pressure at which the pre-coating (2) is ejected away from the weld (14). A steel part obtained by laser welding, preferably butt laser welding, of at least a first and second pre-coated steel sheet (1,1′) as above indicated is also provided.
SURFACE-TREATED COPPER FOIL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
Provided is a surface-treated copper foil in which in order to avoid failures of electronic parts by corrosion, a high bond strength between an electrolytic copper foil and a resin base material can be maintained even when the surface-treated copper foil is exposed to corrosive gases and microparticles, and a method for manufacturing the same. The surface-treated copper foil of the present invention comprises an electrolytic copper foil, a roughened layer covering at least one surface side of the electrolytic copper foil, and a rust preventive layer further covering the roughened layer, wherein the rust preventive layer is at least one surface of the surface-treated copper foil; the rust preventive layer comprises at least a nickel layer; and the thickness of the nickel layer is 0.8 to 4.4 g/m.sup.2 in terms of mass per unit area of nickel; and the noncontact roughness Spd of the rust preventive layer is 1.4 to 2.6 peaks/μm.sup.2 and the surface roughness RzJIS of the rust preventive layer is 1.0 to 2.5 μm. The method for manufacturing the surface-treated copper foil forms the roughened layer having higher roughnesses than the noncontact roughness Spd and surface roughness RzJIS on one surface of the electrolytic copper foil, and thereafter forming the rust preventive layer meeting the predetermined condition.
