Method for determining operating conditions of a textile machine, and a textile machine
A method is provided for determining a functional status at a workstation of a textile machine that includes a plurality of the workstations, wherein each workstation includes at least one drive associated with a treatment device configured at the workstation to treat a fiber material. The method includes measuring a load variable of the drive and determining the functional status of the treatment device based on the measured load variable.
Method for Operating a Bale Opener and Such a Bale Opener
The invention relates to a method for operating a bale opener (1) having a stripping element (3) and a safety device for protection against penetration into a hazardous zone of the stripping element (3), said safety device consisting of sensory safety means, wherein a monitoring region (13, 13.sub.1, 13.sub.2, 13.sub.3) at the front beneath the stripping element is detected and wherein the stripping element (3) is mounted on a stripping tower (2). According to the invention the safety device is at least one two-dimensional laser scanner (12), on which at least one monitoring region (13, 13.sub.1, 13.sub.2, 13.sub.3), which is adjustable and variable over time, is monitored. The invention also relates to a corresponding bale opener (1).
Method of characterizing an article made of composite material
A characterization method for characterizing an article made of composite material having woven, braided, or sewn fiber reinforcement, the method including a determination step of using X-ray tomography to determine gray levels of at least a portion of the article, followed by an exploitation step of exploiting the gray levels to obtain information concerning the weaving by distinguishing between at least the free matrix and the threads of fibers mixed with the matrix, the threads being considered as being a material that is homogeneous.
METHOD FOR REDUCING ERRORS IN TEXTILE MACHINES
The invention relates to a method for reducing errors in textile machines via training management of the operating personnel. In order to provide a method and a system which reduce the number of errors occurring and thereby guarantee the desired product quality, as well as reducing costly repairs and long downtimes of the textile machine and thereby lowering operating costs and
increasing efficiency and operating safety, according to the invention, as method steps, the method first involves error detection at at least one textile machine, followed by detecting error information when an error occurs, wherein the detected error or error information is subsequently aligned with available instructional and/or training content and/or already known error information, and an item of instructional and/or training content relating to a possible cause of the error is identified for future error prevention, and finally the instructional and/or training content for error-specific training or training prompted by the error is delivered to the operating personnel in order to prevent a future occurrence of the error, improve the operating competency of the operating personnel and/or increase the operating safety.

Optimizing a Yarn Production Process with Respect to Foreign Materials
The invention relates to a method for optimizing a yarn production process in which foreign materials (90) are monitored in a textile fiber formation (9). The textile fiber formation (9) is illuminated with electromagnetic radiation from at least two color ranges. The foreign materials (90) are classified into different color classes according to their colors. If a sufficiently large random sample with classified foreign materials (90) is available, a frequency distribution of the foreign materials is determined for the color classes and compared with a reference frequency distribution. If the determined frequency distribution deviates from the reference frequency distribution, at least one of a set of multiple optimization actions is performed, e.g., a warning signal is output.
Carder, web guiding element, spinning mill preparation installation and method for identifying undesired particles
The invention relates to a card with a device for recognizing interfering particles, in particular trash parts, neps, shell neps, thick spots and/or foreign parts in a carded fibre web. The device comprises at least one sensor stationarily disposed in a web guiding element, which is disposed at the transition from a doffer to a stripper roll. The at least one sensor detects the fibre web on the doffer.
OPTIMIZATING A SPINNING PROCESS WITH RESPECT TO FOREIGN MATERIALS
The invention relates to a method for optimizing a spinning process, through which a fiber material fed in the form of raw fibers and output in the form of yarn passes, with respect to foreign materials. At a first position in the spinning process, a first foreign material information relating to the foreign materials is determined. At a second position in the spinning process, which is downstream with respect to the first position, a second foreign material information relating to the foreign materials is determined. The first foreign material information and the second foreign material information are associated with each other such that they relate to substantially the same sample of the fiber material. Based on the first foreign material information and the second foreign material information assigned thereto, a change is made to the spinning process to optimize the spinning process.
