Stitching system for a shoe upper
A system for stitching two parts of a shoe together includes a stitching machine with a head and a cylinder bed. The head has a needle base disposed on a lower end adjacent the cylinder bed such that the two shoe parts can be stitched together therebetween. A positioning mechanism has a curved drive frame and is capable of moving the curved drive frame in a rotating motion along the circumference of the curved drive frame and in a linear direction generally along an axis of the curved drive frame. A jig positions the two shoe parts with respect to one another and is coupled to the curved drive frame. The jig includes a curved support surface for supporting the two shoe parts.
SEWING DEVICE, WORKPIECE HOLDING JIG, AND SEWING METHOD
A sewing device that, when interposing a workpiece-to-be-sewn between a post head and a pressing mechanism and sewing same by penetrating a machine needle therethrough, shapes the workpiece-to-be-sewn in a prescribed shape and sews same, by seating the workpiece-to-be-sewn in a workpiece holding jig having a plurality of seats arranged along a sewing line for the workpiece-to-be-sewn.

SEWING MACHINE
A sewing machine includes: a needle vertical movement mechanism which moves a sewing needle; a moving mechanism which holds a workpiece by a holding frame; an inner presser-foot device which moves an inner presser foot on an upper side of the workpiece held by the holding frame; a control device which controls the moving mechanism based on sewing data in which stitch positions are defined in order in a series of sewing; and a height detector which detects a height of the inner presser foot. The control device lowers the inner presser foot to an upper surface of the workpiece held by the holding frame, detects the height of the inner presser foot by the height detector, and determines suitability of a thickness of the workpiece, at one or plural stitch positions defined in the sewing data before starting the sewing in accordance with the sewing data.

ALIGNMENT JIG FOR LEATHER SHEET AND VELCRO STRUCTURE FOR MANUFACTURING VEHICLE SEAT COVER
The present invention relates to an alignment jig for aligning leather sheet and a Velcro structure before sewing to couple the leather sheet and the Velcro structure which form a vehicle seat cover. The guide part having the accommodation groove into which the Velcro structure can be inserted and fixed is formed on the lower plate of the alignment jig, and the penetration part is formed in the upper plate thereof. Accordingly, after the Velcro structure is inserted and fixed into the accommodation groove of the guide part, when the leather sheet is placed thereon and the upper plate is closed, the leather sheet and the Velcro structure are aligned automatically, and then, when sewing is performed through the penetration part of the upper plate, the Velcro structure can be accurately aligned and coupled on a predetermined curved path of the leather sheet.
