Bicycle Locking Device
20230012237 · 2023-01-12 ·

A bicycle locking device for securing a bicycle to a stationary object includes a housing, which defines an interior space. A cable is positioned in the interior space and has a first terminus, which is engaged to the housing. The cable is selectively extensible through a hole positioned in the housing. The cable is insertable through at least one element of an item, such as bicycle, and around a stationary object, so that a second terminus of the cable reaches the housing. A locking unit is engaged to the housing and selectively engages the second terminus the cable to secure the item to the stationary object. A biometric authenticator is engaged to the housing and is operationally engaged to the locking unit. The biometric authenticator authenticates a physiological characteristic of a user, positioning the biometric authenticator to signal the locking unit to release the cable.

ACTUATING HANDLE AND DEVICE FOR SECURING AGAINST BREAK-INS
20220412122 · 2022-12-29 ·

The invention relates to an actuating handle (17), provided with a preferably electromechanical locking mechanism (8, 8a), having a predetermined breaking point (4) which is between a handle neck (21) and a grip part (1) and is in particular monitored by an electrical switch (3) that preferably also acts as an “opening detector”. During authorised opening of the actuating handle (17), a programmed switch (A1) closes the circuit of the electrical switch (3), the circuit of the physical switch (A2) is then opened, and therefore the grip part (1) can be brought into an opening or tilted position without the alarm being triggered by the switch (3). After the actuating handle has been brought into the closure position, and after the electromechanical locking process (8, 8a), the switch (A1, A2) procedure is executed in a reverse sequence.

CABLE LOCK SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A smart cable lock is provided that is configured to mechanically secure items and provide an automatic determination that securing is achieved. The smart cable may be integrated into a vehicle, or otherwise may communicate with a vehicle. The vehicle includes one or more ports configured to house the cable when not in use. In some embodiments, an accessory includes one or more ports configured to engage with the connector. In some embodiments, the cable is affixed to the vehicle at one end, using a retractor, for example, and can be unspooled, intertwined with equipment, and then secured to a port on the vehicle. The smart cable lock secures and releases a latch based on user indications and authorizations. For example, if the cable is destroyed or damaged, or an unauthorized indication is made, the cable lock system may sound an alarm, or otherwise alert the user.

Systems and methods for locking device management including time delay policies using random time delays

A locking device employs improved lock management techniques based on time delay polices that use a random period of time. The locking device receives a first credential of a custodian, validates the first credential and determines a random period of time based upon a time-delay policy when the first credential is validated. The locking device executes a lock release protocol upon expiration of the random period of time.

A security device for preventing or deterring theft of an object from a retail store or similar comprising a housing; a loop of cable extending from the housing for placement around said object; spool means rotatably mounted on the housing, the loop of cable being attached to the spool means such that, in use, rotation of the spool means in a first direction with respect to the housing causes the cable to unwind from the spool means, and rotation of the spool means in a second direction causes the cable to be wound around the spool means; latching means; alarm means; and retracting means arranged to apply a biasing force to the spool means.

Electrical alarm and methods of making and using the alarm

A security tag including: a housing and circuitry which detects a locked state, the circuitry configured to execute a signal transfer function responsive to interchanging a pin and a lanyard in the circuitry, and/or the housing including a replaceable battery compartment locked by inserting either the pin or the lanyard into a lock mechanism which differently secures the pin and the lanyard; and an alarm, in communication with the circuitry, triggered by an undisarmed breach of the locked state.
