COOLING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE ROTATING MACHINE
A cooling device for a rotating machine that is to be provided in a vehicle. The cooling device includes: (a) an electric oil pump; (b) a control device configured to control operation of the electric oil pump; (c) a cooling oil passage for applying oil outputted by the electric oil pump, to a coil of the rotating machine. The control device is configured to control the operation of the electric oil pump, depending on a pressure difference between a predetermined pressure reference value and an atmospheric pressure value that is detected by an atmospheric pressure sensor.
Noise, vibration and harshness reduction in a skip fire engine control system
A variety of methods and arrangements for reducing noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) in a skip fire engine control system are described. In one aspect, a firing sequence is used to operate the engine in a skip fire manner. A smoothing torque is determined that is applied to a powertrain by an energy storage/release device. The smoothing torque is arranged to at least partially cancel out variation in torque generated by the skip fire firing sequence. Various methods, powertrain controllers, arrangements and computer software related to the above operations are also described.
Marine engine crankcase cover with integral oil cooler
A marine engine has a crankshaft that rotates about a crankshaft axis; a crankcase supporting the crankshaft, the crankcase being made primarily of a first material; and a cover on the crankcase. The cover includes a heat exchanger having an inner plate facing an interior of the crankcase, and the inner plate is located such that rotation of the crankshaft causes lubricant in the crankcase to impinge upon the inner plate. The cover also includes a frame holding the heat exchanger and isolating the heat exchanger from direct contact with the crankcase. At least a portion of the frame is made of a second material that is more compliant than the first material.
OIL COOLING STRUCTURE OF ENGINE
An oil cooling structure of an engine is provided that is capable of enhancing cooling performance of oil while preventing an increase in number of components or an increase in required space from being involved as much as possible. In an oil cooling structure of an engine in which a transmission case is attached to one end wall of an engine body, and a transmission mechanism for an accessory drive is provided in the transmission case, the transmission case is formed into a potlid-shaped body having a plurality of rib walls along a front-rear direction, and is attached to an engine front wall with an engine cooling fan, and case inner chamber portions partitioned by the rib walls in the transmission case are configured as a transporting passage of oil circulated by an oil pump.
UTILITY VEHICLE FLUID COOLING
A cooling system for a utility vehicle comprises a first fluid circuit including a first fluid such as hydraulic oil and a second fluid circuit including a second fluid such as a coolant or lubricant. A heat exchanger couples the first and second fluid circuits enabling transfer of heat from one of the first and second fluids to the other. A fluid cooler in the first fluid circuit has a fan arranged to direct an airflow towards it, which fan is a hydraulically driven device connected in the first fluid circuit and driven by flow of the first fluid.
Transmission cooler thermal bypass device
A transmission cooler thermal bypass device that includes a body having a front side, a back side, a top side, and a bottom side. A first opening, a second opening, a third opening, and a fourth opening, whereby a first passageway connects the first opening and the second opening, and a second passageway connects the third opening and the fourth opening. At least one fin. The first passageway and the second passageway do not include a flow control valve.
Control system for adjusting the temperature of bearing oil for the purpose of minimizing rotor vibrations
The invention relates to a control system for reducing rotor vibrations, in particular the variability thereof, in shafting, in particular turbine shafting, in which the temperature of the bearing (6) of the shaft is measured and the oil (8) supplied to the bearing is adjusted to a temperature as is assigned as the output variable in an allocation for minimised rotor vibrations with the measured temperature of the bearing as the input variable. The allocation can, for example, be provided by an initial measurement of the rotor vibrations or by a self-learning system. According to the invention, the variability of the rotor vibrations is restricted.
DOUBLE-SIDED OIL COOLER FOR USE IN A GENERATOR ENGINE
A standby generator includes an internal combustion engine, an alternator driven by the internal combustion engine to produce electrical power for distribution from the standby generator, and an adaptor component comprising a first end coupled to the engine and a second end spaced apart from the first end and coupled to the alternator. The adaptor component may be positioned such that the internal combustion engine is on a first side thereof and the alternator is on a second side thereof. An air-cooled oil cooler may be integrated with or affixed to the adapter component and include cooling fins formed on an outer surface thereof, the air-cooled oil cooler fluidly connected to the internal combustion engine to receive heated oil therefrom and return cooled oil thereto.
Drive System
An object of this invention is to efficiently warm up a catalyst and keep its temperature. Provided is a drive system, including: an internal combustion engine; a catalytic unit configured to purify an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine; a motor used for at least one of drive or regeneration; and a flow path formed so as to allow an oil-based medium for lubricating the motor to flow in the vicinity of the catalytic unit. The oil-based medium is heated in the motor and exchanges heat in the catalytic unit to heat the catalytic unit.
Engine oil state control device
An engine oil state control device for controlling a fuel mixture ratio of a fuel mixed in an engine oil of an engine on which a predetermined combustion control is performed includes comprising a fuel mixture ratio acquisition part configured to acquire the fuel mixture ratio, and an oil temperature rise control part configured to perform an oil temperature rise control for increasing an evaporation rate of the fuel mixed in the engine oil if the fuel mixture ratio is equal to or greater than a first threshold.
