Movable emission control system for auxiliary diesel engines
A mobile emissions control system is provided for diesel engines operated on ocean-going ships at-berth. The emissions control system comprises two essential elements: an emissions capturing system and an emissions control system. The emissions control system may be mounted on a towable chassis or mounted on a barge, allowing it to be placed alongside ocean-going ships at-berth. The emission capturing system captures exhaust from a ship's diesel engine and conducts it into the emissions control system, which cleans the exhaust and then passes clean air into the atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.
VEHICLE EXHAUST ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS THEREFOR
Exhaust assemblies for vehicles and methods of installing exhaust systems on vehicles are disclosed. An exhaust assembly for a vehicle includes an exhaust inlet to receive combustion products from a drive unit, a catalytic converter to control emissions from combustion products received by the exhaust system, and a first piping assembly coupled to the exhaust inlet and the catalytic converter.
After treatment system for a vehicle
An after treatment system (ATS) for a vehicle having an ATS module includes, fluidly connected in series, an inlet, a Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC), a urea mixer and a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and an outlet. The inlet is fluidly connected to an output of an engine of the vehicle and the outlet is fluidly connected to an outlet tube of the vehicle. The inlet, DOC, mixer, SCR and outlet are arranged to define a substantial rectangular path of a flow (F) of exhaust gases flowing in the ATS, with the inlet and the outlet being positioned at a same vertex of the substantial rectangular path of the flow (F).
Mixer and Exhaust System
This application relates to a mixer and an exhaust system. Wherein, the mixer comprises a pipe, comprising a side wall that comprises an opening; a doser mounting base provided on the opening of the side wall of the pipe, connecting the pipe through the opening, defining a first space, and comprising an injection inlet; and an attachment, comprising a chamber portion and a deflector portion, wherein the chamber portion comprises a chamber portion inlet corresponding to the injection inlet, and a chamber portion outlet corresponding to the opening of the side wall of the pipe; and the deflector portion extends from a side wall of the chamber portion and makes the pipe, the side wall of the chamber portion and the chamber portion inlet fluidly connected, and the attachment constitutes a swirling structure that forms a swirling movement of exhaust at the chamber portion inlet.
Exhaust gas purification system for a gasoline engine
Subject of the invention is an exhaust gas purification system for a gasoline engine, comprising in consecutive order the following devices: a first three-way-catalyst (TWC1), a gasoline particulate filter (GPF) and a second three-way-catalyst (TWC2), wherein the oxygen storage capacity (OSC) of the GPF is greater than the OSC of the TWC2, wherein the OSC is determined in mg/l of the volume of the device. The invention also relates to methods in which the system is used and uses of the system.
Exhaust aftertreatment system
An automotive exhaust aftertreatment system includes a three-way catalyst (TWC) fluidly coupled to an internal combustion engine and a muffler, a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit located downstream from the TWC and upstream from the muffler, the SCR unit configured as a NOx catalytic converter and a hydrocarbon (HC) trap, and an electrically heated catalyst (EHC) located downstream from the SCR and upstream from the muffler, the EHC configured as a catalytic converter for the trapped HCs once the HCs are released from the SCR.
EXHAUST COMPONENT WITH FLEXIBLE MEMBRANE
A vehicle exhaust system includes an exhaust component comprising a wall having an outer surface and an inner surface that defines an internal exhaust component cavity. At least one hole is formed in the exhaust component to extend through the wall of the exhaust component from the outer surface to the inner surface. A membrane is configured to overlap the at least one hole, wherein the membrane is moveable relative to the wall in response to pressure fluctuations.
AUTOMOTIVE ENGINE EXHAUST SYSTEM
An X-pipe for an automotive engine exhaust system is made from a pair of 3-inch diameter metal pipes, each formed with a central bend and a pair of outboard bends. Each pipe is formed to have an oval-shaped central opening, and the two pipes are welded together along a central plane at the oval-shaped central openings. The resulting X-pipe may then be welded into an exhaust system and then installed on a vehicle with an internal combustion engine, and reduces rasp on startup, harmonizes exhaust flow between the cylinder banks on the engine, and improves tonal pleasantness of the exhaust note.
MUFFLER FOR STRATIFIED SCAVENGING ENGINE
A cost-effective muffler for a stratified scavenging engine capable of reducing the number of cells with no exhaust gas flowing in a columnar catalyst as much as possible to create a uniform exhaust gas flow in the columnar catalyst and thus obtaining a desired exhaust gas purification rate, so that THC emissions can be effectively curbed, without substantial alteration or dimensional changes to an existing muffler body and columnar catalyst. At least one of distances: from introduction port to partitioning wall plate; from front wall surface of front chamber to front end surface of the columnar catalyst; and from partitioning wall plate to front end surface of the columnar catalyst is within a predetermined range to prevent gas flow introduced into the front chamber through the introduction port and hitting against the partitioning wall plate to be reversed from bypassing cells in the upper end portion of the columnar catalyst as much as possible.
POWER GENERATION APPARATUS
A power generation apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cooling unit, a thermoelectric module comprising a thermoelectric element disposed on one surface of the cooling unit, and a heat sink disposed on the thermoelectric element; a guide plate disposed opposite the thermoelectric module; and a branch unit disposed on another surface perpendicular to the one surface of the cooling unit. The heat sink includes multiple heat dissipation fins which are spaced apart from each other. The ratio of the shortest horizontal distance between the heat sink and the guide plate to the shortest horizontal distance between the branch unit and the guide plate is 0.0625 to 0.25.
