VEHICLE EXHAUST ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS THEREFOR
Exhaust assemblies for vehicles and methods of installing exhaust systems on vehicles are disclosed. An exhaust assembly for a vehicle includes an exhaust inlet to receive combustion products from a drive unit, a catalytic converter to control emissions from combustion products received by the exhaust system, and a first piping assembly coupled to the exhaust inlet and the catalytic converter.
Water drainage assemblies for aftertreatment systems
A water drainage assembly for an aftertreatment system comprises a first tube structured to be coupled to an outlet conduit of the aftertreatment system and has a first cross-sectional width. A second tube is disposed radially around the first tube. A first end of the second tube is coupled to a radially outer surface of the first tube. A portion of the second tube has a second cross-sectional width larger than the first cross-sectional width such that a volume is defined between the first and second tubes. A drain port is defined in the second tube proximate to the first end. The assembly is structured such that water flowing into the water drainage assembly flows into the volume defined between the first tube and the second tube and is expelled therefrom via the drain port.
EXHAUST STRUCTURE
The utility model provides an exhaust structure having a lightweight structure. The utility model provides an exhaust structure, comprising: an exhaust pipe; and a muffler connected to the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe includes an upstream side opening portion, a downstream side opening portion, and a winding portion. The winding portion is formed by winding pipings between the upstream side opening portion and the downstream side opening portion. The muffler is connected to the upstream side opening portion of the exhaust pipe, and the winding portion overlaps the muffler in a front-rear direction.
Exhaust Purification Device
An exhaust purification device includes a casing which accommodates a purifier that purifies exhaust gas of an engine mounted on a vehicle and in which a flow direction of the exhaust gas corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the casing, an inlet opening at a first longitudinal end of the casing, an outlet opening provided at a second longitudinal end of the casing, a first pipe connected to the inlet opening, and a second pipe connected to the outlet opening. A cross section of at least one of a connecting end of the first pipe for the casing and a connecting end of the second pipe for the casing is in a flattened shape as a dimension of the cross section in the longitudinal direction of the casing is shorter than a dimension of the cross section in a lateral direction of the casing.
Tubular member for exhaust gas treatment device and exhaust gas treatment device using the tubular member, and method of manufacturing tubular member for exhaust gas treatment device
A tubular member for an exhaust gas treatment device according to at least one embodiment of the present invention includes: a tubular main body made of a metal; and an insulating layer formed at least on an inner peripheral surface of the tubular main body. The insulating layer contains glass, the glass contains barium, and the glass has a content of barium of 5 mol % or more.
Mixing conduits including swirler vanes for use within an exhaust treatment system
A mixing conduit for use within an exhaust treatment system of a work vehicle. The mixing conduit is configured to receive engine exhaust and a mixture of engine exhaust and reductant. The mixing conduit includes an outer tube and an inner tube within the outer tube. Each tube extends lengthwise from upstream ends to downstream ends of the inner and outer tubes, respectively. The inner tube includes an exterior surface, and the outer tube includes an interior surface. The inner tube defines an inner flowpath within the inner tube. The outer tube and inner tube also define an outer flowpath radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube. The mixing conduit further includes one or more swirler vanes extending radially between the exterior surface of the inner tube and the interior surface of the outer tube and within the outer flowpath.
WATER DRAINAGE ASSEMBLIES FOR AFTERTREATMENT SYSTEMS
A water drainage assembly for an aftertreatment system includes: a tube having an inlet structured to be coupled to an outlet conduit of an aftertreatment system; a drain port extending through the tube; a first baffle disposed in the tube, a first baffle first end attached to an inner surface of the tube at a first location, wherein at least a portion of the first baffle is inclined downwards with respect to gravity; and a second baffle disposed in the tube below the first baffle, a second baffle first end being coupled to the inner surface of the tube at a second location that is opposite to and below the first location, wherein at least a portion of the second baffle is inclined upwards with respect to gravity.
System and method for low CO emission engine
In one aspect, a system is provided and includes an engine including an exhaust valve, an exhaust manifold downstream of the exhaust valve and a muffler downstream of the exhaust manifold. The system also includes a catalyst positioned downstream of the exhaust valve.
STRADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE
A straddle-type vehicle comprises an engine which generates driving power and emits an exhaust gas; an exhaust device including: a catalyst which cleans the exhaust gas, an inner tube in which the catalyst is disposed and through which the exhaust gas flows, the inner tube extending to a location downstream of the catalyst; and an outer tube which covers an outer peripheral surface of the inner tube in an axial direction of the inner tube, and has a muffling space through which the exhaust gas discharged from the inner tube is flowed to reduce an exhaust noise radiated from the engine; at least one exhaust pipe through which the exhaust gas is led to the catalyst; and a downstream oxygen sensor which detects an oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas after flowing through the catalyst, at a location downstream of the catalyst in the inner tube.
Working vehicle
An engine device of a working vehicle is capable of easily enhancing heat-retaining properties of a first case or a second case, and capable of easily forming, between an outer top plate and an inner top plate, a heat shield space in which a differential pressure sensor can be installed. The working vehicle includes an operation cabin on which an operator rides, the first case for removing particulate matter in exhaust gas in an engine, the second case for removing nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas of the engine, and a hood for covering an upper surface of the engine, and a top plate portion of the hood opposed to one or both of the first case and the second case placed on the upper surface of the engine is formed into a double structure from the outer top plate and the inner top plate.
