ROTARY PUMP
Provided is a rotary pump including: a pump rotor having a flat first rotor side surface facing one side in an axial direction, and a flat second rotor side surface facing the other side in the axial direction; and a housing configured to rotatably house the pump rotor. The housing includes: a ring member having a hollow tubular shape and openings at both ends in the axial direction; a first side member detachably mounted to one end in the axial direction of the ring member to slide and guide the first rotor side surface by using a first crosslinked fluororesin flat surface formed of a crosslinked fluororesin; and a second side member detachably mounted to the other end in the axial direction of the ring member to slide and guide the second rotor side surface by using a second crosslinked fluororesin flat surface formed of the crosslinked fluororesin.
Graphene enhanced elastomeric stator
An enhanced elastomeric stator assembly and method of making the same is disclosed. The elastomeric stator may be structurally, thermally, and/or chemically enhanced through the incorporation of graphene particles, cross-linkable polymers, coupling agents that extend cross-links, and by the reduction of filler material. The graphene particles can be incorporated in functionalized or non-functionalized form or in a combination thereof, the functionalized graphene increasing the number of cross-links in the overall structure, thereby enhancing the structural robustness of the elastomeric stator. The compound can be formulated to have a relatively low viscosity and other characteristics that allow the material to flow through a mould cavity.
Pump chemical compatibility management system
Techniques for managing chemical pumps and chemical compositions are disclosed. A system may include a chemical pump that is exposed to a chemical composition during operation of the chemical pump; a chemical reservoir containing the chemical composition, the chemical reservoir including an electronically readable medium including embedded information corresponding to the chemical composition; and a database comprising chemical compatibility data between the chemical composition and the chemical pump. An application executing on a portable computing device is operable to: receive a pump identifier of the chemical pump; electronically read the electronically readable medium to obtain, based on the embedded information, a chemical identifier of the chemical composition; query the database using the chemical identifier and the pump identifier; receive, from the database, a chemical compatibility between the chemical composition and the chemical pump; and output an indication corresponding to the chemical compatibility between the chemical composition and the chemical pump.

Fluid metering device
A device for metering fluids comprising a fluid chamber with one inlet or outlet port, at least one sidewall and a movable separator that is in contact with and separates the fluid in the chamber from the other components of the device, a porous actuator housing and wicking material, a flexible polymer actuator material in contact with the porous actuator housing and the moveable separator, an actuator hydrating solution reservoir with at least one sidewall, an inlet port, and in fluid contact with porous actuator housing, a fluid gate located at some point between actuator hydrating solution reservoir and the polymer actuator, effectively keeping actuator dry, and an external shell to hold all components so that the polymer actuator can only move in a direction and apply pressure to the separator in contact with the fluid in the fluid chamber, thereby dispensing fluid from fluid chamber.
RECIPROCATING PISTON PUMP AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A reciprocating piston pump may include a pump chamber, a piston seal, a monolithic partially fluorinated polymer piston with a fluid engaging end, a seating end, and a longitudinal outer piston surface extending between the fluid engaging end and the seating end. The reciprocating piston pump may further include a drive assembly coupled to the seating end of the monolithic partially fluorinated polymer piston. The drive assembly operates to reciprocate the monolithic partially fluorinated polymer piston within the pump chamber between full aspirate and full dispense positions. The piston seal forms an interface between the longitudinal outer piston surface of the piston and the pump chamber. The monolithic partially fluorinated polymer piston and the drive assembly are configured such that the piston seal interfaces with the longitudinal outer piston surface over a full stroke length of the drive assembly between the full aspirate and full dispense positions.
