COUPLING DEVICE AND DRIVE TRAIN HAVING A COUPLING DEVICE
The invention relates to a coupling device for a drive train of a motorcycle or other motor vehicle, in particular for suppressing a so-called hopping. According to the invention, the coupling device has an output rotation part, a switchable friction coupling, which has an energy storage device for closing thereof and which is closed in an unactuated state, and at least one freewheel coupling for forming a torque transmission path for torque transmission from the input rotating part to the output rotating part, wherein the freewheel coupling includes the following components: an inner rotating element, the outer circumference of which forms a sawtooth-shaped circumferential structure having a plurality of circumferentially extending ramps; a substantially annular plate structure having an individual plate element or a stack of a plurality of plate elements, the inner circumference of which forms a sawtooth-shaped circumferential structure having a plurality of circumferentially extending counter-ramps to form an interlock and/or a friction lock together with the ramps of the inner rotating element in a rotation direction; and an outer rotating element surrounding the plate structure. The invention further relates to a corresponding drive train having such a coupling device.

Air disc brake adjuster mechanism
An adjuster for an air disc brake includes an over-torque clutch arrangement that includes an adjuster drive plate having ramped detents, and a ball-carrying plate having pockets for retaining ball bearings. Ball bearings are carried and retained in the ball-carrying plate, and transmit rotation between the adjuster drive plate and the ball-carrying plate below a torque threshold. Above a torque threshold, the balls move axially away from the adjuster drive plate against the force of a spring, and ride up the ramped detents. Above the torque threshold, rotation is not transmitted.

METHOD FOR SEARCHING FOR A MINIMUM OF A MULTI-DIMENSIONAL SURFACE
Provided herein is a method for calibrating a clutch by searching for the minimum of a multi-dimensional surface including determining the error between a spline function and recorded data relating to clutch characteristics, creating a multi-dimensional surface corresponding to the error values, determining the minimum of the multi-dimensional surface using the steps of performing a Steepest Gradient & Direction determination step and conducting a Golden Section Search and Switch Direction Step to find a minimum that meets a predetermined closing condition. Additionally, provided herein is a computer-implemented system for calibrating the clutch.

Reverse input blocking clutch and actuator
A reverse input blocking clutch includes an input member, an output member, a pressed member, and an engaging member. When a rotational torque is inputted to the input member, the engaging member moves in a direction away from a pressed surface of the pressed member due to engagement with the input member, and transmits the rotational torque inputted to the input member to the output member due to engagement with the output member; and when rotational torque is reversely inputted to the output member, moves in the direction closer to the pressed surface based on engagement with the output member, and by being pressed against the pressed surface does not transmit the rotational torque reversely inputted to the output member to the input member, or transmits only part thereof to the input member due to engagement with the input member.

Motor vehicle drive device
A motor vehicle drive apparatus includes a device configured to connect an internal combustion engine to an electromechanical energy converter, and first and second drive trains. The second drivetrain is arranged parallel to the first drivetrain in relation to torque transmission between the electromechanical energy converter and the internal combustion engine. The first drivetrain has a one-way clutch which is set up in such a manner that torque is transmittable via the first drivetrain from the electromechanical energy converter to the internal combustion engine during starting of the internal combustion engine. The second drivetrain has a speed-sensitive clutch which in a first state is open until a first speed threshold is reached, so that in the first state no torque is transmittable with the second drivetrain from the internal combustion engine to the electromechanical energy converter. The speed-sensitive clutch is closed from the crossing of this first speed threshold.
