Module Active Response System
A system for the supplemental generation of energy from the operation of a vehicle operation, and specifically to the generation of energy in connection with a vehicle's drum brakes in combination with brushless electric motor-generators. The system includes a rotational conveyor that operatively connects the drum to a coupler member attached to a generator so that rotation of the drum rotates the coupler member to create energy. A frame member may position and retain the generator in place relative to the drum.
AN INTEGRATED WHEEL HUB AND PUMP/MOTOR UNIT
Disclosed is an Integrated Wheel Hub and Multispeed Hydraulic Motor/Pump and Braking Unit, Control Valving System and Drive Clutches for vehicles using an Electro-hydraulic propulsion system, commanded and controlled by the Vehicle Control System.
Hybrid regeneration brake system
A multi-disk brake system comprises an electrical generator disposed therein. The electrical generator is configured to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy. The mechanical energy may be generated during a braking event of the multi-disk brake system. The electric generator may power various electrical components on the aircraft or store the electrical energy in a capacitor bank. The electric generator may also act as a motor and/or power a landing gear in a motor configuration.
BRAKE SYSTEM
A brake system includes a stroke detector configured to detect a stroke of a brake pedal and to output a signal; a first controller configured to generate ON/OFF signals for a brake lamp based on the signal from the stroke detector; and a second controller including a switch configured to receive the ON/OFF signals and control ON/OFF of the brake lamp, in which the first controller and the switch are directly connected to each other.
High Density Thermal Storage Arrangement
An energy transportation and grid support system utilizes at least one transportable containment module capable of storing thermal or chemical energy typically produced from renewable or geothermal sources and providing connectivity with energy conversion equipment typically located in a land or sea-based operating facility. The system includes circuitry to hookup to an adjacent electricity grid for the provision of grid support and/or piping to move thermal energy typically used to drive steam turbines generating electricity. The operating facility also includes a communication arrangement to link with and exchange operations control data with a grid or heating operator and the energy transportation operator. The invention is directed to both apparatus and method for the energy transportation and grid support system.
BRAKE SYSTEMS INTEGRATED INTO VEHICLE CORNER MODULES AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
A Vehicle Corner Module (VCM) based brake system, which includes a brake actuator, adapted to regulate the rotation rate of the wheel assembled to the VCM, a fluid-based brake power source, fluidly connected to the brake actuator and adapted to provide pressurized brake fluid for operating the brake actuator, and a brake-control-circuit, functionally associated with the brake actuator and with the brake power source, and adapted to provide functional inputs to the brake actuator based on a target rotation rate profile desired for a wheel mounted on the VCM. All mechanical components of the VCM-based brake system are disposed within the VCM. The VCM-based brake system and the vehicle platform are not in fluid communication with each other.

Braking system for a railway vehicle
Disclosed is a railway braking system including a control device having a valve with a body having a cavity and a slide having an internal chamber, supply notches and drainage notches each having an overall passage cross-section for a pressure medium having a shape exhibiting an apex, and being movably mounted in the cavity, between a supply position where the supply notch is opposite a supply groove of the body, and a drainage position where the drainage notch is opposite a drainage groove of the body; the device being configured to allow a substantially stable control configuration, wherein the pressure value of the medium is limited, and wherein the slide is positioned in the cavity such that a control notch of the slide is opposite a control groove of the body while the supply and drainage notches are respectively at a distance from the supply and drainage grooves.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, AND VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle control device that autonomously controls a vehicle so as not to cause rapid deceleration that leads to a deterioration in ride quality. The vehicle control device controls first and second deceleration, means that reduce a speed at a deceleration rate large than a deceleration rate of the first deceleration means. The vehicle control device includes a blind spot area detecting unit that detects a blind spot area of a sensor that recognizes an external environment, and a blind spot object estimating unit that estimates a blind spot object that is a virtual moving body hidden in the blind spot area. When a vehicle approaches the blind spot area at a speed reduced by the first deceleration means, the vehicle is decelerated by the second deceleration means when a type of a moving body detected by the sensor is different from a type of the blind spot object.
ELECTROMECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FOR A BRAKING SYSTEM OF A RAILWAY VEHICLE, CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE ELECTROMECHANICAL ASSEMBLY, AND BRAKING SYSTEM INCLUDING THE ELECTROMECHANICAL ASSEMBLY AND THE CONTROL SYSTEM
An electromechanical assembly for a braking system of a railway vehicle is described, characterized in that it comprises a flywheel arranged to accumulate kinetic energy; wherein the kinetic energy accumulated in the flywheel is sufficient to operate the electromechanical assembly to cause the braking system to perform at least one emergency or service or parking brake action. Also described are a control system for an electromechanical assembly for a braking system of a railway vehicle and a braking system for a railway vehicle.
