RATCHET LOAD BINDER WITH TENSION MONITOR SYSTEM
20220389988 · 2022-12-08 ·

A hand operated tool for binding a load. The tool including a hollow tube with interior left hand and right hand threads at opposing ends. Opposing rods with exterior threads on one end and a releasable connection device on the other end that is screwed into each end of the tube. A gear rigidly mounted and encircling the tube allowing a pivotly attached ratcheting U-pawl to engage the gear teeth, the U-pawl attached to and carried by a handle assembly mounted on each side of the gear, the handle protruding perpendicular from the tube. The handle turning the tube in a first rotational direction drawing the rods closer together tightening the bind, the handle turning the tube in a second rotational direction moving the rods farther apart loosening the bind, the rods remaining stationary in rotation during rotation of the tube. A blocking device may be installed to prevent the U-pawl from pivoting into a position to turn the tube in the second rotational direction, that would loosen the bind on the load, the blocking device allowing normal ratcheting and turning of the tube in the first rotational direction tightening the bind on the load. A recessed-pawl partially pivoting independently of the U-pawl and engaging with the gear to prevent the tube from turning in the second-rotational-direction that would loosen the bind on the load when the U-pawl is in a neutral position whereby the U-pawl is not engaged with the gear. In addition, a tension-detecting-device suitable to detect or measure the tension on the ratchet load binder rods and also monitor and communicate the tension to the operator is also provided.

One general aspect includes a method for generating an encapsulated belt containment system. The method also includes cutting a belt and removing rubber material from a portion of the belt to generate exposed belt end. The method also includes removing excess material from exposed cables of the exposed belt end. The method also includes organizing exposed cables into a plurality of cable groups and secure each group. The method also includes inserting the plurality of cable groups into a containment bag.

Conveyor belt fastener applicators and fastener beds

In one aspect, a system is provided for securing fasteners to a conveyor belt end. The system includes a fastener bed to support fasteners, the fastener bed including a plurality of aligned fastener holes configured to receive staples of lower plates of the fasteners. The system further includes an applicator comprising a plurality of operating members operable to interface with the fastener holes of the fastener bed to advance the applicator along the fastener bed, secure the applicator relative to the fastener bed, and drive legs of the staples through the conveyor belt and into apertures of upper plates of the fasteners. The applicator is operable to urge upper plates of the fasteners against the conveyor belt end and bend the staple leg end portions against the upper plates of the fasteners to secure the fasteners to the conveyor belt end.

An anchor point for a lever binder is disclosed herein. The anchor point includes a collar. The anchor point also includes a cap including a base and at least one arm. The collar and the cap cooperate to form an aperture for receiving a handle of a lever binder.

Ratcheting chain/cable tightener

The invention relates to a ratchet tightener for tensioning chains, belts and similar, comprising two end pieces 3 and 4 between which a lead screw 2 is arranged and screwed to same, wherein the axial distance between said end pieces 3 and 4 can be altered by rotating the lead screw 2 by means of a ratchet, characterised in that the threaded rod 8 is in the form of a tube into which the threaded rod 7 can descend.

SIDEWALL FASTENING SYSTEM FOR A CONVEYOR BELT

A flexible thermoplastic conveyor belt constructed of one or more belt segments having corrugated sidewalls. The one or more segments are joined end to end at one or more joints. The ends of the sidewalls at or near the joints are fastened together by fasteners to form a continuous sidewall along the length of the belt. The fasteners are toolless fasteners requiring no tools; they can be fastened and unfastened by hand alone.

BELT OR BELT SEGMENT

The present invention relates to a belt (1) or a belt segment (1), having a plurality of reinforcement members (11) which run in the longitudinal direction (X) and are arranged parallel to one another and which are embedded at least substantially into an elastomer main body (10), and having at least one connection element (2) which is arranged on an open end (1a) of the belt (1) or of the belt segment (1), wherein the ends of the reinforcement members (11) are each at least substantially exposed by and/or left free of the elastomer main body (10), wherein the ends of the reinforcement members (11) are each connected in a force-fitting manner to at least one clamping element (12), and wherein the clamping elements (12) are held in a form-fitting manner in a connection section (A) by the connection element (2) at least in the longitudinal direction (X). The belt (1) or the belt segment (1) is characterized in that the connection element (2) has at least one extension element (25) which directly adjoins the connection section (A) in the longitudinal direction (X) and which at least sectionally forms an extension section (B) of the connection element (2) in the longitudinal direction (X), and in that the reinforcement members (11) of the open end (1a) of the belt (1) or of the belt segment (1) are received in the extension section (B) by the extension element (25) in such a way that the reinforcement members (11) are guided at least sectionally in a rectilinear manner in the longitudinal direction (X).
