System and method for a connector assembly in an aircraft
A method of retrofitting an environmental control system of an aircraft includes inserting the orifice plate through the connector slot and the connector ring slot into the receptacle. The method also includes aligning the covering portion with the connector slot.
ELECTRICALLY ISOLATING BLOCK AND FLANGE FOR RAIL-HEATING DUCT
An electrically isolating duct-connecting block for connecting two ducts, the duct-connecting block including a rigid, generally rectangular duct-like structure having upper and lower walls and side walls that match a cross-sectional size of a tie duct, the structure being made of an electrically nonconductive material. The block also includes a plurality of threaded fasteners embedded within the structure. Also disclosed is an electrically isolating nozzle-mounting block for mounting a nozzle to a tie duct, the nozzle-mounting block comprising a rigid flange-like structure having peripheral mounting holes and a central circular passage for conveying air to the nozzle, the structure being made of an electrically nonconductive material. The block also includes a plurality of threaded fasteners partially embedded within the structure. The blocks may be made of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene or any electrically and mechanically equivalent material.
Apparatus for the alignment of pipes
This invention provides for a hand-held clamping tool to position and hold two pipe flanges in place allowing for the alignment the bolt holes and the gasket that in placed between the pipe flanges by using an alignment spike; and then holding the pipe flange and the gaskets in place while bolts are installed to join the two gasket sections together. The invention also has a detachable alignment spike and a also has a calibration mark on the alignment spike. The invention also describes a tool for positioning and holding ISO flanges.
CONNECTORS
A connection apparatus suitable for mounting on a structural element and connection to a port of a system or component in which the connection apparatus comprises a connector, a flange and a compressible biasing means is provided. The connector forms a longitudinally extending conduit having an axis (A) extending along the centre of the conduit, a port end adapted to be engaged with the port of a system or component, and a second end. The connector comprises a shoulder extending around the perimeter of the connector, and the shoulder extends around the perimeter of the connector in a direction substantially perpendicular to the portion of the conduit axis (as) around which the shoulder extends. The biasing means is adapted to at least partially extend around a portion of the connector adjacent to the shoulder.
Pole clamp
A clamp includes a first clamp body portion arranged for removable coupling about a generally cylindrical support structure to a second clamp body portion. The first clamp body portion includes a first clamp structure containing a first generally semi-spherical floating bushing, the first generally semi-spherical floating bushing coupled to the first clamp structure. The second clamp body portion includes a second clamp structure containing a second generally semi-spherical floating bushing, the second generally semi-spherical floating bushing coupled to the second clamp structure.
FLUIDIC CONNECTION DEVICE AND NON-RETURN INSERT VALVE FOR VEHICLES
A fluidic connection device (10) for a fluid circuit, in particular of a vehicle, this device comprising: a first pipe (12), a tubular end-piece engaged in the first pipe (12), a first flange (16) mounted around the first pipe (12), a second flange (18) mounted around the end-piece, at least one element (20) for attaching the first and second flanges (16, 18) one against the other, and a non-return insert valve (100) mounted within the first pipe (12).
Directed jet impulse pig launching system and method of its use
A pig trap of this disclosure may include one or more injectors or nozzles located along a sidewall of the barrel and oriented to deliver a jet of fluid toward a back side of a vertical member of a pig or tool. The nozzle may be part of an assembly that includes a longitudinally extending pipe having a flat-profile flange at an inlet end, a curved-profile flange at the nozzle end, and a bend in between the two ends. When the assembly is installed in a sidewall opening of a pig trap, the nozzle delivers a jet of fluid toward the back side of a vertical member of the pig. A leak path may be provided through flanges or formed between the sidewall opening and a periphery of the curved-profile flange. Launch forces of more than 10 to 15 times that of a conventional launcher may be achieved.
CONDUIT COUPLER FOR COUPLING STUB END CONDUITS
A conduit joint system securing ends of two conduits together includes first and second conduits having first and second flared ends and first and second liners protruding from the flared ends. The liners are joined together so that the flared ends are opposing and spaced from one another and portions of the liners are between the flared ends. An external coupler is configured to receive the flared ends and includes (i) a first flange receiving portion configured to receive the first flared end, (ii) a second flange receiving portion configured to receive the second flared end, and (iii) a body portion extending between the flange receiving portions and configured to receive the portions of the liners between the flared ends. With the liners joined together and with the external coupler receiving the flared ends, and the portions of the liners, the external coupler secures the first and second conduits together.
Device for operation on a pressurized bolt connection between a first flanged tubular and a second flanged tubular
A device is for operation on a pressurized bolt connection between a first flanged tubular and a second flanged tubular. The device has a first clamping member with a first contact portion adapted to bear against the flange of the first tubular, a second clamping member with a second contact portion adapted to bear against the flange of the second tubular, and a connection arrangement for pulling the first clamping member and second clamping member together. The first contact portion and the second contact portion are adapted to bear at an inner part of the flanges between the bolts of the bolt connection and the body of the two tubulars.
Clamping system comprising a collar and a pre-mounting clip
A clamping system to connect a first and a second tube whose facing ends have protruding clamping surfaces is provided. The system comprises a collar comprising a belt able to be clamped around the clamping surfaces. The belt has a first and a second flank between which an internal recess able to receive the clamping surfaces is delimited. The collar carries an outer retaining clip comprising a retaining segment located on the side of the first flank and a first and a second link return linking respectively the retaining segment to a first and a second retaining member located on the side of the second flank. The collar is retained axially between the retaining segment and the first and second retaining members. The retaining segment is able to be elastically deformed to allow the insertion of the end of the tube and to retain it pre-mounted in the collar.
