Burner and process for producing synthesis gas
A burner for producing synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbon-containing fuels in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant and a moderator, which burner can be operated uncooled, i.e. without a fluid coolant being passed through the burner, is proposed. Steam or carbon dioxide or else mixtures of these materials are used as moderator. This is achieved by the feed channels being configured so that mixing of the fuel, the moderator and the oxidant occurs only outside the burner.
Furnace
A furnace, and a method of firing it, wherein part of the fuel supplied to the furnace is produced from waste plastics by a depolymerisation process, waste heat from the furnace being used to promote the depolymerisation process. The furnace is equipped with regenerators for waste heat recovery and is fired alternately in first and second opposed directions, with the direction of firing periodically reversing between the first direction and the second direction. The supply of fuel to the furnace is temporarily interrupted while the direction of firing is reversing, means being provided to accommodate the fuel produced during the temporary interruption. The furnace may be used for producing glass.
Heat shrink gas gun
A heat shrink gas gun has a handle which has a back side and a front side. The front side of the handle includes a cavity extending along an axis. An igniter is configured for ignition of the heat shrink gas gun and is actuated by a trigger. The igniter is insertably disposed in the cavity. The igniter is releasably received in the cavity. A trigger guard is positioned in front of the trigger and the front side in a spaced relationship. The trigger guard includes a through hole corresponding to the cavity so as to facilitate installation and replacement of the igniter.
Biased burner control for regenerative oxidizers
Methods and systems for oxidizing gas are provided. An example regenerative oxidizer is provided that includes a combustion chamber to heat gas present in the combustion chamber. The regenerative oxidizer also includes a first heat exchange media bed and a second heat exchange media bed. Each of the first heat exchange media bed and the second heat exchange media bed are in fluid communication with the combustion chamber. The regenerative oxidizer further includes two burners disposed within the combustion chamber to provide a total heat input to the gas present in the combustion chamber. At least one of the two burners is independently adjustable based on the airflow direction.
Multi-burner rotary furnace melting system and method
A method of melting a charge in a double-pass tilt rotary furnace having a door, including operating a first burner at a first firing rate, the first burner being mounted in a lower portion of the door and producing a first flame having a length; operating a second burner at a second firing rate, the second burner being mounted in an upper portion of the door and producing a second flame having a length, the second flame being distal from the charge relative to the first flame; in an initial phase when the solids in the charge impede the first flame, controlling the second firing rate to be greater than the first firing rate; and in an later phase after melting of the solids in the charge sufficiently that the first flame is not impeded, controlling the first firing rate to be greater than the second firing rate.
Regenerators with pressurized cavity in partition walls
A pressurized cavity is provided around at least a portion or all of a regenerator, within which gas such as flue gas is maintained at a pressure in excess of the pressure within the regenerator, to protect against leakage of gas through the walls of the regenerator.
Burner and locomotive for spreading waterproof coil in hot melt manner
A locomotive (10) for spreading a waterproof coil in a hot melt manner. The locomotive (10) for spreading a waterproof coil in a hot melt manner comprises: a locomotive frame (11), provided with a coil support (12); and wheel devices, a spreading device, a combustion and heating device and a coil compaction device that are disposed on the locomotive frame (11). The combustion and heating device comprises a combustion chamber (6) and a mixing chamber (2). The mixing chamber (2) is provided with a fuel gas inlet end (5), an air inlet end (28), and an outlet end (29). The outlet end (29) is connected to the combustion chamber (6). Multiple gas discharge holes (7) are formed in one side surface of the combustion chamber (6) in an axial direction. The locomotive (10) for spreading a waterproof coil in a hot melt manner improves the construction efficiency, reduces human power costs and reduces consumption of fuel gas.
Gas burner system and method thereof
A system for use with a fired vessel of production/separators or dehydration equipment that includes a metal box, a main burner, a pilot burner, and a flame arrestor. The main burner and the pilot burner are within the metal box and the first flame arrestor is connected to the metal box.
Pilot and burner system for firefighting training
A pilot and burner apparatus is provided for use in firefighting training. The apparatus includes a main fuel conduit and a main fuel valve. The apparatus includes a pilot tube and a pilot fuel conduit configured to deliver fuel from the main fuel conduit to the pilot tube. The apparatus includes main and pilot fuel valves to respectively control a flow of fuel in the main and pilot fuel conduits. In a pilot phase, the valves direct fuel to the pilot tube. An ignition component is configured to ignite fuel in the pilot tube to generate a pilot flame. In a burn phase, the pilot flame generates a controllable flame out of a main burner pipe by igniting fuel exiting the main fuel conduit. The controllable flame can be delivered to a training structure for training purposes.
