Use of a rope of fibrous plant material as combustible material
A rope is used as a combustible material in a heating system, the rope comprising or consisting of fibrous plant material. Also, a method of operating a heating system comprises feeding a combustible material to a combustion chamber of the heating system, the combustible material being a rope of fibrous plant material.
Waste feed device
The present invention relates to a waste feed device for feeding waste into a combustion space of a waste incineration plant, including a waste feed shaft wall surrounding a waste feed shaft. In this case, at least part of the waste feed shaft wall is formed from a multiplicity of separate panels which are connected releasably to one another and which comprise, on their side facing the waste feed shaft, a panel inner wall and, on their side facing away from the waste feed shaft, a panel outer wall which is spaced apart from the panel inner wall and which with the panel inner wall surrounds a panel cavity.
Radiant burner
A radiant burner for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing processing tool includes a plurality of treatment chambers, each treatment chamber having an effluent stream inlet for supplying a respective portion of the effluent gas stream to that treatment chamber for treatment therewithin. In this way, multiple treatment chambers may be provided, each of which treats part of the effluent stream. Accordingly, the number of treatment chambers can be selected to match the flow rate of the effluent gas stream from any particular processing tool. This provides an architecture which is reliably scalable to suit the needs of any effluent gas stream flow rate.
Rotary Cascading Bed Combustion System
A rotary cascading bed combustion system for converting waste product into energy includes a rotary cascading bed combustor boiler including a rotating cylinder surrounding a combustion chamber; the rotating cylinder being structured and disposed for cascading the fuel to facilitate the mixing of air and solids, wherein the rotational speed of the rotating cylinder is selectively varied based on the amount of fuel, airflow and combustion properties; wherein combusting waste is mixed with sorbents and cycled through a plurality of combustion zones to produce controlled heat for generating steam; wherein the steam is routed to a turbine; and wherein if carbon burnout is not complete it will be recycled back into the combustion chamber.
USE OF A ROPE OF FIBROUS PLANT MATERIAL AS COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL
The invention provides a use of a rope as a combustible material in a heating system, said rope comprising or consisting of fibrous plant material. The invention also provides a method of operating a heating system, comprising feeding a combustible material to a combustion chamber of the heating system, said combustible material being a rope of fibrous plant material.
DEVICE FOR FEEDING A CONTAINER FOR AN INSTALLATION FOR THE HEAT TREATMENT OF WASTE
A sleeve made of rigid tube into which the feed lines for feeding the waste to treated and the gases to be discharged lead. In order to avoid contamination or blockage of the sleeve, a tool for scraping the inner face of the wall thereof is added, in this case a terminal tubular section of one of the feed lines, which carries out orbital movements tangent to this inner face. Various cooling, rinsing and overpressure structures are added, as is a docking device extending at the bottom of the sleeve for connecting the latter to the heat treatment container.
RADIANT BURNER
A radiant burner and method are disclosed. The radiant burner is for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing processing tool and comprises: a plurality of treatment chambers, each treatment chamber having an effluent stream inlet for supplying a respective portion of said effluent gas stream to that treatment chamber for treatment therewithin.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TREATING WASTE PARTICULATE SOLIDS
A system for combusting particulate solids comprises a hopper, a furnace and a secondary afterburner. The furnace further comprises at least one exothermic continuous reaction vessel (ECRV) that has a volume that is significantly smaller than the volume of the furnace, which operates at a temperature that is higher than the temperature in the remainder of the furnace, the temperature being high enough to auto-ignite the particulates when they enter the ECRV. The ECRV rotates in unison with a conveyor that delivers the solid particulates from a hopper. The apparatus is energy efficient, with few working parts, and provides combusted particulate solids that can be disposed of directly without environmental concerns.
