The gas furnace includes: a coupling box serving as an intermediary to connect the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger; a collect box connected to the secondary heat exchanger, for letting in the combustion gas passed through the secondary heat exchanger; an inducer connected to the collect box, for inducing a flow of the combustion gas; and a bypass pipe connected to one side of the coupling box and including a bypass pipe for guiding the combustion gas passed through the primary heat exchanger to a hot water supply tank for supplying hot water to an indoor space.

Liner device for a furnace

Liner device, adapted to be mounted between a burner box and a tube interface plate of a furnace. The liner device includes a base section, one or more tube sections, and one or more angle fasteners. The base section includes a shielding layer formed from a first flexible mesh of flame-resistant fibers, the shielding layer defining a first surface that is configured to face the burner box, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a medial region with a through-hole forming a passageway through the shielding layer. The tube section is composed essentially of a second flexible mesh of flame-resistant fibers formed into a tubular shape that defines an internal channel around a nominal axis. A proximal end of the tube section is positioned at the base section, such that the channel opens into the through-hole and that the tube section projects from the second surface and in a direction faced by the second surface. The angle fastener has a base portion that is positioned along and fixed to the second surface of the shielding layer. The angle fastener further has a leg portion that projects towards the second direction and is positioned along and fixed to an outer surface of the tube section at or near the proximal end thereof.

PASSIVE AND NO-LOSS WEATHER CAP FOR PROTECTIONOF WIND INDUCED DOWNDRAFT IN SENSITIVE EXHAUST SYSTEM

The invention provides a device for removing heat from a building, the device having: a first tubular member defining a first cavity; a second tubular member defining a second cavity, whereby said second tubular member resides within the first cavity and is coaxial to the first tubular member; a double conic body coaxially residing in the first cavity and coaxially positioned with the second tubular member; and a flange dimensioned to extend over at least a portion of the periphery of the existing flue so as to aid in supporting the device on the flue.

Passive and no-loss weather cap for protection of wind induced downdraft in sensitive exhaust systems

The invention provides a device for removing heat from a building, the device having: a first tubular member defining a first cavity; a second tubular member defining a second cavity, whereby said second tubular member resides within the first cavity and is coaxial to the first tubular member; and a double conic body coaxially residing in the first cavity and coaxially positioned with the second tubular member. Also provided is a method for removing heat from a building, the method having the steps of: directing heat-containing exhaust emanating from a flue, defining a first diameter, to a passageway received by the flue, whereby the passageway defines a longitudinal axis and a periphery circumscribing the axis; forming the directed exhaust into a slipstream, wherein the slipstream generally travels along the longitudinal axis; and routing precipitation entering the passageway to the periphery.
