COOKING PLATE FOR FIRE PIT
A cooking plate is mountable to and removable from a fire pit. The cooking plate includes support tabs that position the cooking plate above the upper rim of the fire pit to provide even heating to the cooking plate while securing it in place with respect to the fire pit. The cooking plate can be placed on the fire pit after the fire has been started and removed while the fire is burning. The cooking plate has support tabs that each has an angled surface to allow the cooking plate to be leveled with respect to the fire pit. The cooking plate is ring-shaped and provides a central opening for the flame of the fire pit. The cooking plate defines an indentation that accommodates an accessory post of the fire pit.
COLLAPSIBLE COMBUSTION CONTAINER DEVICES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Collapsible combustion containers are disclosed and described. Such combustion containers generally include a first pair of vertically oriented panels joined by a hinge and a second pair of vertically oriented panels joined by a hinge. The pairs of panels are hinged to one another to form a closed perimeter with a box like shape.
One panel of the first pair may further include a relief space feature that creates a relief space so that the second pair of panels may be folded flat between the panels of the first pair when the container is collapsed for storage. Such combustion containers may burn a variety of fuels, including wood and other combustible matter, and be used as a portable stove or heating device and are especially useful during activities such as camping or backpacking, and for emergency preparedness reasons.
Grill with Height-Adjustable Cooking Surface
A grill with at least one height-adjustable grilling surface is disclosed. The grill body has a fuel burning compartment and a cooking surface that can be easily moved toward and away from any burning fuel in the compartment. The height adjustment mechanism can be a rack and pinion system, with the rack attached to the cooking surface and the pinion actuated by a wheel located outside of the grill body.
Washable Cooking Apparatus
There is disclosed herein a cooking apparatus (10) including: a burner assembly (17) including at least one burner (44) supported by a stand (46), the stand (46) including a magnetically attractive material; a body (14) including a cavity (16) in which the burner assembly (17) is locatable and being adapted to support a cooking surface (20) at least partially over the cavity (16), the cavity (16) including a drain (32) and substantially smooth surfaces (34) arranged to direct a fluid to the drain (32); a gas port (42) fitted to the body (14) to provide the at least one burner (44) with gas; and a magnetic coupling means (50) arranged to releasably couple with the magnetically attractive material of the stand (46); wherein the cooking apparatus (10) is configurable between: a cooking mode in which the burner assembly (17) is fitted to the gas port (42) with the stand (46) supported and located relative to cavity (16) by the magnetic coupling means (50), and the cooking surface (20) is fittable at least partially thereover, and a cleaning mode in which the cooking surface (20) and burner assembly (17) are removeable from the cavity (16), with the magnetic coupling means (50) being decoupled, to reveal the substantially smooth surfaces (34) for cleaning with the fluid.
Removable oven for grill
A removable oven for use on a cooking grill including a cooking chamber formed in a high temperature housing with an open bottom. The open bottom of the high temperature housing fits over a cooking plate positioned over a shutterable perforated diffuser place on the grill. A segmented chimney connected to the cooking chamber further controls the heat in the cooking chamber.
Ignition-based protocols for pellet grills
Pellet grills including a control system that implements, manages, and/or controls various ignition-based protocols and/or processes are disclosed. An example pellet grill includes a cooking chamber, a burn pot, an ignitor, and a controller. The ignitor extends into the burn pot and is configured to ignite pellet fuel located within the burn pot. The controller is configured to command the ignitor to activate during a first duration. The controller is further configured to determine, following expiration of the first duration, whether a temperature of the cooking chamber has reached a threshold temperature. The controller is further configured, in response to determining that the temperature has not reached the threshold temperature, to command the ignitor to activate during a second duration.

Portable combustion device utilizing thermoelectrical generation
This invention provides a portable combustion device that provides a cleaner combustion, provides a more efficient overall combustion through the use of a fan that directs a predetermined volume of airflow over the combustible fuel—typically wood or similar cellulose-based biological solids and provides a cooking surface that is a grill top. The combustion device has a combustion chamber into which the fuel source is placed for combustion. Mounted to the side of the combustion chamber is a housing that encloses the TEG, which generates an electrical output, based on a difference in temperature on opposing sides. Mounted onto the TEG housing and protruding into the combustion chamber through a small passageway is a heat-conducting probe and heat-conducting probe base unit.

Cooking device and method of controlling the same
A cooking device is provided. The cooking device may include a cavity forming a space in which food may be received for cooking, a grill heater provided at one side of the cavity and having a plurality of heaters to heat the food, a food sensing device provided in the cavity to acquire information related to a size of the food received in the cavity, and a main controller to estimate the size of the food using information sensed by the food sensing device. The main controller may then operate a part or all of the plurality of heaters according to the estimated size of the food to perform a grill cooking operation.
