A heating system for use with a can dryer or oven includes a gas burner, an electrical heating element, a heating chamber structured to heat cans using air heated by the gas burner and/or the electrical heating element, a circulation system structured to move air from the gas burner and the electrical heating element to the heating chamber, and a control system structured to selectively control the gas burner and the electrical heating element to switch between a first mode where the gas burner and the electrical heating element are active and both heat air provided to the heating chamber and in a second mode where the gas burner is inactive and the electrical heating element is active.

The invention relates to a handheld blower device for the manual pneumatic drying of surfaces by a user of the handheld blower device, comprising a flat nozzle device for ejecting compressed air from the handheld blower device onto the surface to be dried, a handle region, in particular a handle, for manually gripping and guiding the flat nozzle device over the surface to be dried, and a conveying device for conveying the compressed air to the flat nozzle device, wherein the flat nozzle device comprises a flat nozzle, and the conveying device is configured with a stationarily arranged, in particular fixedly arranged, high-pressure blower.

A drying apparatus includes a body, an air inlet, a flow generator to receive inlet air from the air inlet and generate an airflow, an air outlet at the body for exhausting the airflow from the flow generator, the air outlet extending along a vertical height of the body, and an outlet airflow steering mechanism operable to control a lateral extent of the airflow from the air outlet. A controller is configured to operate the outlet airflow steering mechanism to control the lateral extents of the airflow from the air outlet.

A drying arrangement includes a primary drying module having: a body, a bar movable relative to the body, the bar having an air outlet for exhausting an airflow in a first airflow direction; and a secondary drying module having a housing, the housing having an air outlet for exhausting an airflow in a second airflow direction; wherein the first airflow direction and the second airflow direction differ from one another.

A method for improving the heating efficiency of steam wherein a polyamine represented by the following general formula (1) is caused to be present in a steam system to be used for heating. A dryer device for drying plastics pouches, the device comprising a main air admission pipe having a plurality of dryer heads including outlet orifices, each outlet orifice forming an air knife, the dryer heads being associated in pairs so as to define a plurality of passages for plastics pouches, each passage being adapted to dry plastics pouches passing therethrough by applying two opposing air knives.
