ARMED UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to an armed unmanned aerial vehicle (“UAV”), an armed UAV control system, and methods of use thereof. In one form, the armed UAV includes: an elongate body, a pair opposed side rotor arm assemblies extending from the sides of the body, a tail rotor arm assembly extending from a rear end of the body, a weapons system including at least one firearm associated with the body, and a flight and targeting controller operatively associated with the side rotor arm assemblies and the tail rotor arm assembly. The controller configured to: determine at least a pitch angle and yaw angle required to strike a target with the weapons system, based on target information received; and selectively control operation of each rotor arm assembly for aiming the weapons system, based on at least the pitch angle and the yaw angle determined.
CONNECTOR
This invention relates generally to the field of sporting and leisure activities such as hunting, cycling, and photography. A connector (10) for detachably connecting an object (12) to an article of equipment (14), the connector comprising a base (16) fittable on or to the article of equipment, or integral with the article of equipment, the base including one of a recess and an elongate projection, and the object including the other of a recess and an elongate projection, the connector further including slidable locking means (28) which slides transversely to and engages with the projection when the projection is inserted in the recess, to securely retain the projection within the recess until the slidable locking means is operated by a user to permit removal of the projection from the recess. One of the recess and projection may include cooperating magnetic means which encourages engagement of the projection within the recess.
A GUN RACK AND A GUN HOLDER ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a gun rack structure that ensures the secure fixation of rifles and long-barreled weapons. More specifically the gun rack is applicable to weapons that are ready to be used at any time, and ensures that they are kept securely by fixing it to a certain place indoors or inside a vehicle. Thanks to the adjustable structure of the gun rack, it can be adapted to different fore-end and barrel structures, after the weapon is placed, it is activated with one move that provides to fix the fore-end or barrel and likewise it is inactivated with one move that provides to disengage the fore-end or barrel. The disclosed gun rack and gun holder assembly give military personnel the practicality they need.
Aiming device for a weapon system comprising a weapon secured to a chassis and a method implementing such a device
An aiming method for a weapon system including a weapon secured to a chassis, as well as an aiming device implementing such a method. The weapon system includes a computer having in an internal memory a nominal firing profile defined by the extreme elevation and relative bearing aiming instructions that are possible for the weapon, in the reference frame associated with the chassis, when the latter is in a firing position on a horizontal ground. The boundaries of the nominal firing profile are converted so as to determine a transformed firing profile which is delimited by the extreme directions of fire that are possible in the reference frame of the chassis when the latter is in the firing position on the field, and finally the operating firing profile is determined for the aiming, which is defined as the geometric intersection of the nominal firing profile and the transformed firing profile.
Shooting rests and pole assemblies
A pole assembly includes a slide mounted reciprocally to a pole. The slide includes an upper extremity, a lower extremity, and a handle between the upper extremity and the lower extremity. First and second jaws are mounted reciprocally to the slide between gripping positions for gripping the pole therebetween and released positions for releasing the pole therebetween. The slide is disabled from moving reciprocally relative to the pole, in the gripping positions of the first and second jaws. The slide is enabled for moving reciprocally relative to the pole, in the released positions of the first and second jaws. Each of the first and second jaws reciprocates obliquely relative to the pole from the released position away from the pole and the upper extremity of the slide, and the gripping position toward the pole and the upper extremity of the slide.
SAFETY DEVICE ARRANGEMENT FOR FIREARM WITH MAGAZINE WELL
A safety device arrangement for a firearm with a magazine well comprising an insert (3A) adapted to the dimensions and shape of the magazine well and being lockable therein and a rack element (4A) for carrying the firearm, the body of the insert (5A) exposed from the magazine well being adapted in dimensions and shape to fit against the carrier part (17) of the rack element, is characterised in that the carrier part of the rack element is provided with an opening, slot or equivalent (18) and the body of the insert exposed from the magazine well provided with a hollow protrusion (7) adapted to fit to said opening, slot or equivalent and extended through and outside of the carrier part, and on the other hand opening inside the body, and that in the locking mechanism between the insert and the magazine well essential bar or equivalent (9) with its accessories (10, 11, 12) extending inside the insert is implemented to depart from and being lockable in said protrusion. In a preferred embodiment the base part (10) of said bar or equivalent (9) is fitted to pivot in the protrusion (7) and rotate the bar with its accessories between a position locking the insert to the magazine well, and a position releasing the locking, the protrusion and the base part comprising an arrangement (8, 14) for securing the locking position with a lock (22, 23).
Portable gun rest with adjustable stability control
A portable gun rest has a gun mount head which includes a rotator housing assembly for azimuth directional control and a platen elevation mechanism for elevation control. The rotator housing assembly has a stator and a rotator. A rotator brake is operated to selectively restrict movement between the rotator and the rotary housing. The platen elevation mechanism has two or more platens which are secured together with a flat bearing located there-between. An elevation brake is selectively adjustable to push the two platens together with different amounts of force providing selectable torque required to move one platen relative to another. The platens have a lattice-like structure for attenuating vibratory motion.
FIREARM POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A firearm positioning system and methods of use are provided. The system comprises a first arm segment pivotably engaged to a primary body and a second arm segment pivotably engaged to the first arm segment. The system also comprises a cradle pivotably engaged to the second arm segment. The cradle is configured to support a firearm. The cradle comprises a pair of channels at a first end and a backstop assembly at a second end opposite the first end. The pair of channels are configured to receive a front end of a firearm and the backstop assembly is configured to releasably secure a back end of the firearm to the cradle.
