Laser guided bomb with proximity sensor
11709040 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A proximity sensor for a Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) is provided. A proximity sensor for a Laser Guided Bomb (LGB) includes: an electronics package unit (EPU) configured to be connected to a front end of a warhead; and at least one sensor separate from the EPU and configured to be connected to a forward adapter that is connected to the front end of the warhead. The at least one sensor is configured to obtain data that is used to determine a height above ground of the LGB. The EPU is configured to compare the determined height above ground to a predefined value. The EPU is configured to generate a detonation signal for the warhead based on the determined height above ground being equal to or less than the predefined value.

When the tension across the cord's 24 length reaches a predetermined threshold, an activation mechanism within the payload 16 and coupled to one of the cord's 24 ends is actuated in order to activate the payload 16. Activating the payload 16 may include deactivating a SAFU, activating a motor 32 disposed within the housing, or causing flight controls to extend from a housed position. Here, “within the payload 16” may mean part of the activation mechanism is disposed on the outer surface or housing of the payload 16.

PAINTBALL LAND MINE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
20230003495 · 2023-01-05 ·

The present invention is related to paintball land mines, which can fire multiple paintballs simultaneously. Also, the paintball land mine utilizes a firearm blank or nail gun cartridge for its propellant. Furthermore, the paintball land mine includes reed valves associated with the ejection of the paintballs so that after the initial blast of the propellant to eject each paintball, the reed valve associated with the ejected paintball is closed, thereby preventing the rapid escape of unused propellant. Finally, the paintball land mine can be either detonated by a trip wire or detonated electronically through the use a remote-control device.

AUTOMATED DETONATION OF FIREWORKS

The present invention is generally related to paint ball firing devices. More specifically, the present invention is related to paintball land mines, which can fire multiple paintballs simultaneously and methods of making and using same. Furthermore, the present invention is capable of allowing the device to be disassembled (i.e., field serviceable) and provides a range of combustion chambers, barrel assemblies, and cartridges to be used in the device. In this manner, a wide range of projectile types and feet per second (f.p.s.) projectiles can be used in the device.

Stand-off breaching round

A stand-off breaching device (20) for breaching a barrier, comprising a housing (21), an explosive main charge (24) having a barrier-end (25) and a rear-end (26), a detonator (29), and means for initiating the detonator (27) when the explosive main charge (24) is at a preselected distance from a barrier. The detonator (29) is configured to detonate explosive main charge (24) at the rear-end (26) such that the resultant detonation wave propagates through the explosive main charge (24) towards the barrier-end (25) and the barrier being breached. This configuration provides more efficient transfer of explosively generated overpressure towards a barrier, thereby enabling the use of explosive main charges (24) with reduced mass, and the associated improvements in operator safety. The breaching device (20) is particularly suited to use in door breaching operations.

Projectable device for use with mixed reality system
11821723 · 2023-11-21 · ·

A peripheral device that is used with a mixed reality system that is thrown by the user of the mixed reality system and captures scene and mapping data of the area the peripheral is thrown into. Upon capturing the scene and mapping data, the peripheral transmits the data (in some embodiments, including processed results of evaluation of the data) to the mixed reality system. The mixed reality system displays a visual representation of the scene and mapping data on a near eye display. In some embodiments, the visual representation appears in real space enabling an effect where the user of the mixed reality system can see through walls or other obstructions. In some embodiments, the peripheral is configured to detonate upon the satisfaction of a variable set of conditions.
