SYSTEM REPRESENTATION AND METHOD OF USE
In variants, a system management platform can include a set of system representations and a set of platform-standard element models. Each system representation can include a set of component representations related by a set of constraint representations 140, which can represent the sensing components of a system and the relationships therebetween, respectively, and store component-specific and constraint-specific calibration parameter values, respectively. The component representations 120 can optionally reference the element models.
Sensing system and sensing signal measuring method thereof
A sensing system and a sensing signal measuring method thereof are provided. The sensing system includes a signal source, a connecting device, a frequency sweep circuit, and a controller. In the method, the signal source is activated to generate a specific signal. The controller controls the frequency sweep circuit to switch a frequency band of a frequency sweep signal to a first frequency band corresponding to each of a plurality of types of multi-point sensors. The controller receives a sensor signal of each multi-point sensor through the connecting device, where the sensor signal is a variation of a measurement signal output by each multi-point sensor in response to the specific signal and the frequency sweep signal. The controller executes an adaptive algorithm on the sensor signal to construct a correspondence between an eigenvalue of each multi-point sensor and a location of the first frequency band, and records the correspondence.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING NETWORKS BASED ON TEXTILES
Systems and methods described herein include disparate textiles integrated with fixtures or objects within a workspace. The respective disparate textiles may be interconnected via electrical interconnection busses and may include electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical structures for sensing data associated with workspace users. The systems may provide, based on the sensed data, actuator output to one or more disparate textiles for personalizing or altering the workspace environment.
MEASURING DEVICE FOR PROCESS AUTOMATION IN THE INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT
A measuring device for process automation in an industrial environment is provided, the measuring device including: a first sensor device configured to detect a process variable; a position detection device configured to detect a position of the measuring device; a second sensor device configured to acquire environmental data; and a controller configured to analyze the acquired environmental data, determine, based on the analysis, whether or not a current position of the measuring device should be detected, and instruct the position detection device to detect the current position of the measuring device when the analysis of the environmental data has determined that the current position should be detected. A method for determining a position of a measuring device is also provided.
Safety device and method to prevent use of the same device if faulty
The present invention discloses a safety devices adapted to prevent workers from going into hazardous environment, such as underground using the faulty safety device. As a safety device, typically embodied as a cap lamp, must be charged prior to each use, the device is adapted to detect when the device is removed from the charger. The device starts to blink continuously when disconnected from the charger. An automated test procedure is completed on the device. The user may also complete a manual portion of the test procedure to make the device usable. When the test procedure is completed successfully, the lamp stops blinking. If the test procedure is not successful, the lamp continues blinking to effectively prevent user from using a faulty device.
Devices having communication circuitry decoupled from device circuitry and related meters and housings
A meter assembly is provided including a register or an index associated with a meter; and a communication circuit decoupled from the register or the index and configured to communicate with the register or the index using an optical communication link between the register or the index and the communication circuit. Related communication circuit housings are provided.
METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING A MEASUREMENT RATE OF A FIELD DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a method for optimizing a measurement rate of a field device in a measurement system. The measurement system includes at least one second field device in which a measurement variable of the field device is correlated with the measurement variable of the second field device. The method determines a respective specific correlation pattern between the first measurement variable and the second measurement variable based on a learning phase. This makes it possible to check the measured values from the second field device for the correlation pattern during normal measurement operation and to change the measurement rate of the field device during the corresponding time window. This makes it possible to increase the service life and/or availability in the process installation.

Synchronization mechanism for high speed sensor interface
A sensor may determine a sampling pattern based on a group of synchronization signals received by the sensor. The sampling pattern may identify an expected time for receiving an upcoming synchronization signal. The sensor may trigger, based on the sampling pattern, a performance of a sensor operation associated with the upcoming synchronization signal. The performance of the sensor operation may be triggered before the upcoming synchronization signal is received.
