Computer-implemented method for fitting a spectacle lens to a spectacle frame
A computer-implemented method for fitting a spectacle lens, which has a first spectacle lens surface, a second spectacle lens surface, and at least one dioptric power to be obtained, to a spectacle frame with a certain frame edge curve is made available. In the method, a free-form surface formed on a first spectacle lens surface is fitted to the frame edge curve of the spectacle frame. The free-form surface is fitted to the frame edge curve by virtue of the free-form surface and the second spectacle lens surface being optimized with regard to minimizing the difference between the free-form surface edge curve and the frame edge curve and with regard to achieving the at least one dioptric power to be obtained with the spectacle lens.
Method for determining a parameter of an optical equipment
Disclosed is a method for determining a parameter of an optical equipment including an optical lens including permanent markings and being mounted in a spectacle frame, including: positioning the optical equipment is before a pattern in a first position; positioning a portable electronic device including an image acquisition module in a second position so as to acquire an image showing together the pattern seen through at least part of the optical lenses of the optical equipment in the first position and at least part of the spectacle frame of the optical equipment in the first position; detecting the permanent marking on the optical lens using the image acquired by the image acquisition module of the portable electronic device in the second position; and determining at least one parameter of the optical equipment based on the position of the permanent marking.
Disposable sleeve having an antimicrobial property for covering an arm of a pair of spectacles
A disposable sleeve having an antimicrobial property for covering an arm of a pair of spectacles is presently disclosed. The disposable sleeve comprises a generally tubular body having an opening at least one end thereof for receiving the spectacle arm, and at least one antimicrobial agent containing component applied to a surface of the tubular body and/or dispersed therein to impart the antimicrobial property thereto.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FITTING EYE WEAR
A computer implemented method and system for fitting eyeglasses captures images of the consumer while naturally trying-on frames in the normal course of selecting new frames. The system and method capture natural images of frame placement and using gaze prediction and eye tracking techniques ascertain eye measurements for accurate placement of the prescription within new eyewear.
Edge sealant application for optical devices
Techniques are described for applying an edge sealant to the edge of a multi-layer optical device. In particular, embodiments provide an apparatus that performs a precision measurement of the perimeter of an eyepiece, applying the edge sealant (e.g., polymer) based on the precision-measured perimeter, and subsequently cures the edge sealant, using ultraviolet (UV) light that is directed at the edge sealant. The curing process may be performed within a short time following the application of the edge sealant, to ensure that any wicking of the edge sealant between the layers of the eyepiece is controlled to be no greater than a particular depth tolerance. In some examples, the edge sealant is applied to the optical device prevent, or at least reduce, the leakage of light from the optical device, and also to ensure and maintain the structure of the multi-layer optical device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A PRESCRIPTION FOR AN EYE OF A PERSON
Disclosed is an eyewear including: a frame headwear configured to be worn by a user, the frame headwear including a front part, and at least one lens holder, each lens holder being configured to be removably fastened to the frame headwear in a predetermined mounted position and each lens holder including an associated pair of ophthalmic lenses attached to the lens holder, each lens of the associated pair of ophthalmic lenses being configured to be movable relative to the lens holder while being attached to the lens holder.
Systems and methods for generating instructions for adjusting stock eyewear frames using a 3D scan of facial features
Systems and methods are disclosed for generating a 3D computer model of an eyewear product, using a computer system, the method including obtaining an inventory comprising a plurality of product frames; scanning a user's anatomy; extracting measurements of the user's anatomy; obtaining a first model of a contour and/or surface of the user's anatomy, based on the extracted measurements of the user's anatomy; identifying, based on the contour and/or the surface of the user's anatomy, a first product frame among the plurality of product frames; determining adjustments to the first product frame based on the contour and/or the surface of the user's anatomy; generating a second model rendering comprising the adjusted first product frame matching the contours and/or the surface of the user's anatomy.
METHOD FOR GENERATING MODIFIED EYEGLASS FRAME MANUFACTURING DATA
A method for generating modified eyeglass frame manufacturing data including the following steps: a. providing a plurality of eyeglass frames; b. selecting one frame among the plurality of eyeglass frames; c. determining data relative to the selected frame; d. modifying the determined data whilst respecting at least one predetermined conception rule, so as to obtain modified data; and e. computing the modified data obtained by the modification so as to generate modified eyeglass frame manufacturing data.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING AN EYEGLASSES FRAME
Providing an eyeglasses frame in a fully automatized manner includes: (d) obtaining a set of data relating to a 3D representation of the frame, from: (a) initial information relating to an initial representation of the frame; and (b) at least one wearer parameter, possibly automatically modified; and (c) at least one frame parameter, possibly automatically modified; and taking account of at least one constraint or automatically modified constraint, relating to geometry of the frame; and automatically providing the 3D representation from the obtained set of data; (e) applying an evaluation criterion to determine whether the 3D representation satisfies the constraint or automatically modified constraint and, if not, (f) iterating obtaining (d) and applying (e) with the automatically modified wearer parameter and/or with the automatically modified frame parameter and/or with the automatically modified constraint, to automatically provide a constraint-compliant set of data relating to a final representation of the frame.
