IMAGE BASED DETECTION OF FIT FOR A HEAD MOUNTED WEARABLE COMPUTING DEVICE
A system and method of detecting display fit measurements and/or ophthalmic measurements for a head mounted wearable computing device including a display device is provided. An image of a fitting frame worn by a user of the computing device is captured by the user, through an application running on the computing device. One or more keypoints and/or features and/or landmarks are detected in the image including the fitting frame. A three-dimensional pose of the fitting frame is determined based on the detected keypoints and/or features and/or landmarks, and configuration information associated with the fitting frame. The display device of the head mounted wearable computing device can then be configured based on the three-dimensional pose of the fitting frame as captured in the image.

A method for determining a fitted position of an ophthalmic lens to be mounted on a spectacle frame equipping a wearer, the fitted position being defined with respect to a wearer referential linked to the head of the wearer. The method includes defining at least one fitting criteria relating to the positioning of the ophthalmic lens with respect to the spectacle frame, determining frame 3D data at least partially representative of the geometry and position of the spectacle frame with respect to the wearer referential, determining lens 3D data at least partially representative of the geometry of at least a peripheral portion of the ophthalmic lens, and determining the fitted position of said ophthalmic lens with respect to the wearer referential using the frame 3D data and said lens 3D data to fit the ophthalmic lens within the spectacle frame meeting the fitting criteria.
System and method of obtaining fit and fabrication measurements for eyeglasses using depth map scanning
A system and method for determining the measurements needed to fabricate prescription eyeglasses. A person is scanned with a time-of-flight scanner while wearing the eyeglass frames. This produces depth maps from known distances. Common measurement points are identified within at least some of the scans. The positional changes of the common measurement points and the known distance to the imaging camera are utilized to map three dimensional coordinates for the measurement points using an actual measurement scale. Fabrication measurements are calculated between the various three-dimensional coordinates in the same scale.
LENS CLEANING DEVICE
A lens cleaning device includes an elongated member having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first end, a second end and a pair of opposing sides. The top surface is constructed from a soft and smooth fabric for cleaning eyeglass lenses, and the bottom surface is constructed from a moisture resistant material. A pair of pockets are be disposed along the distal ends of the bottom surface at locations adjacent to the first and second ends. The pockets including a shape and size for receiving a thumb and finger of a user. High friction nubs are provided along the bottom surface.
PROCESS FOR ASSEMBLING AN ELASTIC HINGE FOR EYEGLASS FRAMES, AND ELASTIC HINGE FOR EYEGLASS FRAMES
Process for assembling an elastic hinge for eyeglass frames comprising a first articulation provided with a head with a first hole, a second articulation having two shoulders provided with second holes, and a pin having a stem provided with a thinned final portion. The process provides for inserting the head of the first articulation between the two shoulders of the second articulation with the first hole of the first articulation non-aligned with respect to the second holes of the second articulation, an opening thus remaining between such holes. A step for inserting the pin is provided, during which the thinned portion of the pin is wedged in the aforesaid opening between the holes and is screwed into one of the second holes of the shoulders of the second articulation.
SPECTACLE LENS AND A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPECTACLE LENS
A spectacle lens for at least one eye of a user, a method for producing a spectacle lens, and a computer program product having executable instructions for performing the method for producing the spectacle lens are disclosed. The spectacle lens has a permanent marking which is or contains a diffractive structure, wherein a diffractive pattern generated by illumination of the diffractive structure is configured to be invisible upon a first kind of illumination and configured to be visible only upon a second kind of illumination. The permanent markings on the spectacle lens are, on one hand, invisible to the user or to a spectator looking at the user wearing the spectacle lens without utilizing specially selected optical aids but, on the other hand, enables continued control of the spectacle lens in front of the eye of the user by an optician or a specifically designated optical sensor.
Method for determining an electronic spectacle frame element
A method for determining an electronic spectacle frame element of a spectacle frame, including providing electronic element data relating to an electronic element to be embodied in a spectacle frame element; providing predetermined spectacle frame element data related to at least one geometrical parameter of a predetermined spectacle frame element, corresponding to the wearer demand; defining a working electronic spectacle frame element including a working spectacle frame element and an electronic element embodied in the working spectacle frame element based on the electronic element data, modifying the working electronic spectacle frame element, and determining the electronic spectacle frame element by repeating the modifying step so as to minimize the difference between the geometrical parameters of the predetermined spectacle frame element and the working spectacle frame element.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING A VALUE OF AT LEAST ONE GEOMETRICO-MORPHOLOGICAL PARAMETER OF A SUBJECT WEARING AN EYEWEAR
A method for determining a value of at least one geometrico-morphological parameter of a subject wearing an eyewear. The method including obtaining at least one image of a head of the subject wearing the eyewear, identifying simultaneously, on the at least one image obtained, a set of remarkable points of the image of the eyewear and a set of remarkable points of the image of the head of the subject, using an image processing algorithm determined based on a predetermined database comprising a plurality of reference images of heads wearing an eyewear, the image processing algorithm being based on machine learning, and determining at least one value of a geometrico-morphological parameter taking into account the sets of remarkable points of the image of the eyewear and head of the subject identified.
